Travelling down the East Coast of Australia this ranch is quite literally in the middle of nowhere! That makes it so perfect! Real life cowboys and cowgirls who live and work the ranch particulary made this so enjoyable, with their down to earth approach and stories. The land is breathtaking (spotted a few kangaroos) and you can't help but fully... More

Me and my girlfriend are a early 20's couple doing the usual tour of the east coast so we thought we would throw this in for a change. The wildlife is incredible! Wild Emus, horses, kangaroos, parrots its like going to the zoo and all the animals have been let out. Ive been horrified by spiders all my life so... More

Looking for something a bit different I embarked on an OzExperience bus out of MIriam Vale through the fields to the outback of Biloela - meaning white cockatoo in Aboriginee. Unsure what to expect we arrived along this long winding dirt track outside a wooden shed where a huge pot was on a fire and smoke was billowing. A quick... More

From the very first moment this place captured our hearts. The warmth of the owners and staff was completely infectious. The atmosphere at this place is really special! We loved the Quad Biking and horse riding and my children would have happily stayed forever. Thanks Al, Kerry, Andy and the team.

This place is awesome.. Such a great night spent there in a clean no fuss cabin. The staff very friendly and willing to help with all activities. We did trap shooting, goat rodeo and mechanical bull riding was lots of family fun. A must for overseas travellers and locals too. Lovely outback bar with one of the best fires I... More

We're a couple in our 20s and we stayed here for one night.. Good - The activities!! We did...goat mustering, quad biking, goat rodeo, clay pigeon shooting, whip cracking and lassoing. - The FOOD!! Oh my god the food. Steak, crayfish, roast dinners and all cooked over a bonfire. Plus the breakfast is pretty amazing, with home-made banana jam. -... More

What an amazing experience! This was incorporated on a two week tour of the east coast and prior to arriving I was dreading it. I am not a farm sort of person. How my opinion has changed! The dorm rooms were ridiculously small, they had two bunk beds and enough room for two people to stand at a time, not... More

After arriving late we were greeted by friendly people, live music and a delicious slow roasted joint of beef, immediately we felt welcome! Nothing was planned for the morning so we joined in with their odd jobs which included loading a ute onto the back of a truck and making delicious beef sausages. In the afternoon we went out to... I had 2 awesome days there, so many great things to do and even I was there by myself I didn't feel alone at all. They looked after me all the time and let me be part of their little family. It's a great way to see another side of the eastcoast and heaps of fun.

First off, if you are looking for 5* luxury and indulgence, don't go to Kroombit. If you are looking to thrash quad bikes, muster cattle and goats on horseback, shoot stuff, bullwhip your shins, eat more meat than you can shake a stick at and don't mind being caked in dirt for days, then Kroombit is for you! We loved... More
