Conifers collected from all over the world and very very old with enormous size to match. The gardens were established in the 1870's. We had breakfast at the restaurant in the gardens which seems to be a converted... More

Brilliant blue skies, sunny winters day, easy weather for walking. Take a walk from whatever point you are at in Daylesford up to the gardens and up to the top of the tower. The views are not as grand as they would have been years ago, the tree have grown up around so you have to catch glimpses through many... More

Okay, that may be a bit harsh, but with all the amazing little towns and cities in Victoria that we've visited, there are so many more delightful gardens than that of Wombat Hill. There's not too much to recommend it in terms of anything botanical. Almost non-existent flower beds, old trees a little unkempt, an old memorial tower with its... More

A lovely place to spend a few quiet hours. Walking to the top of the observation tower is a treat. Peaceful, quiet and tranquil.

nice peaceful walk around the gardens, in bad weather you can also do the scenic drive in your car. Worth a look.

It really is worth a drive and a walk through the Botanical Gardens. The historic trees and the cool atmosphere make it worth the visit. There are nice views too and the cafe is good for a cuppa.
