Duke of Edinburgh award

Excellent area for Silver and Gold (and Bronze if you live close!). Good campsites, pathways well signed, hilltops wet enough!

Thank you for your very kind review. I am wondering though if you are confusing us with another company as we don't actually offer Duke of Edinburgh Award training or assessment. I do agree with you however that the Peak District is a great area for this fabulous scheme for young people. Cath at Peak Walking Adventures. More

We walked from Castleton to the summit of Mam Tor and then along the ridge before dropping back down to the village. Our guide, Rose was very knowledgable and brought the walk to life with her interesting antidotes. On reaching the summit it was hard to stay upright as the wind was so strong but everyone in the group enjoyed... More

A wonderful walk with Rose and her dog. Rose was very knowledgable about the area, and the walk was very enjoyable, the wind on top of Mam Tor was scary but overall we had a great time.

Cath understood our needs in trek training very well. She restricted the group to a small size so that she could look after each of us and help us individually. She was very warm and engaging. Walking with Cath was not only about walking, Cath talked to us about the local history and stories along the way. She also encouraged... More

A brilliant afternoon spent walking with Cath. The scenery was stunning and Cath's very friendly guided tour was extremely interesting. "A must do activity" while visiting the Peak District. Thank you Cath for an enjoyable walk on the wild side :-)

Cath greeted us with a friendly smile which set the scene for a fabulous walking day. New to this type of day, we didn't know what to expect. I liked the small group of 6 people. Although the walk was hard, with 5 hills (5 and a half really ) Cath was extremely helpful and allowed us to take a... More

Cath from Peak Walking was a friendly and expert guide and a pleasant companion. She guided us through wet moors, tors and suggestive groves on sunny and windy day. The Peak District is a stunning place with beautiful landscapes. It's been a enjoyable experience! I'll surely come back to see (and walk) more.

Cath was the perfect guide. Huge Princess Bride movie fan and she took me to all the sites and movie scene locations I wanted to see. We went on one full day hike and one 1/2 day walk. Amazing views and unforgettable countryside. She was so knowledgeable and as nice of a person as you will ever meet. I am... More
