Superb course - I needed to renew my certificate and so glad I went with Peak Mountaineering. Paul was the perfect tutor, with everything explained clearly and with plenty of interaction. The content and delivery were well structured with plenty of time for questions and discussion. The Hollowford Centre in Castleton was a great location with plenty of space outdoors... More

A great course! Paul and his team were fantastic, having a great mix of professional instruction with a friendly approach. The format of the course was very well thought out and well worth the money. I have highly recommended Peak Mountaineering to friends and colleagues.

Great course, which was well led by Paul. A good mixture of theoretical teaching, practical exercises and scenarios. Made to feel very welcome from the moment the course started until the very end. Despite being a serious course Paul was able to inject humor and personal anecdotes. Thanks Peak Mountaineering.

Great time had around Fort William area on a Winter Skills course with Peak Mountaineering. Well led by our instructor Hannah, who pushed us just enough but not too much. Fantastic snow conditions ordered up by Paul and his team. Very well organised course, and the accommodation was pitched just right too. A fun way to learn how to enjoy... More

I attended a Winter Skills course in Fort William run by Paul of Peak Mountaineering. My fears of travelling to Scotland as a lone female, being an inexperienced walker and having concerns of inadequate kit, were soon eliminated by Paul's friendly and reassuring welcome, along with his very professional team. If there are any girlies out there who are having... More

Attended a winter skills course in the Fort William area organised by Peak Mountaineering. Paul and the team made me feel most welcome, providing skills transfer in a friendly and efficient manner. The pace was good and any questions were answered in expertly. Thankfully the snow conditions were also superb too.

Great winter mountaineering course in the Fortwilliam area. Paul is a great instructor and took time to ask what we wanted to get out of the course. Highly recommended!

Spent a varied three days in the Glencoe and Nevis Ranges, brushing up on some old techniques and progressing each day. Paul was very good at getting the most out of our abilities and the weather conditions. He listened to what we wanted out of the sessions and tailored each day to ensure it was challenging, rewarding and met expectations.... More

Great time on a Peak Winter Mountaineering course around the Fort William area. The mountain locations were ideal, the activities spot-on for what we wanted to achieve and Paul's friendly personality and technical instruction were as faultless as ever. You can never control the weather but despite some mixed conditions at times, it added rather than detracted from the course... More

As an aspiring Mountain Leader I had booked a day long refresher course to check on the progress I was making and ensure I hadn't ingrained any bad habits. Paul worked very hard to tailor the day to my requirements and ensure that I got as much out of it as was possible. He was thorough, knowledgeable, patient and I... More
