We were eating at the Ladybower Inn, and were able to park in their car park (with their permission) and walk down to the reservoir. However, there is parking on the main road and also there appeared to be free off road parking on the approach road to the centre. There is also pay to park at the centre. The... More

Their are in fact 3 reservoirs here. Where the Ladybower and Derwent meet is a huge dam. This is where they practised the 'bouncing bomb' and later filmed the movie the dam busters. A great visitors centre here with small shop and light snacks plus toilets. Lots of paths through woods for walking and cycling. Well worth the effort. Pay... More

A most perfect place for family cycling around the reservoir. There aren't any 'legal' trails for MTB, there' re better places in the Peak District for that though. Parking for free at the places on the sides of the streets. Otherwise you'll have to pay quite a lot.

Great cycling with family but tough around Hagg Fm. Tracks well kept and views tremendous. Recommend taking plenty of water.

We have tried six or seven different walks around the reservoir from an hour to a ten mile five hour hilltop hike. The food kiosk at the visitors centre is the most efficiently run establishment I have ever encountered. The number of people try serve and the variety of hot and cold snacks available is excellent. I commend to you... More

this is a good place to visit, with some history behind it and some good trails to follow around the reservoir, I spent the day there but would soon get board if i stayed longer than a day.
