Not too good on the signposting of the walks - and if you take the black route - the view we had was of an old blue tractor and couple of sheep!! Great for cyclists to go around the reservoir and a good information centre with cafe.

Loved our visit to the legendary Ladybower Reservoir. Mid week you can drive almost right round the outside with some fantastic views. If you are energetic you can hire bikes, even a tandem, from the visitor centre and cycle round. Being fairly flat even I fancied doing it but not enough time. Oh Well! Nice visitor centre with toilets and... More

A lovely, relaxing drive alongside one arm of the Ladybower reservoir takes you to a parking area just below the Derwent Dam. It's difficult to believe that the other arm is on the main A57 road to the Snake Pass.

Amazing place. When I want to spend my day with mother nature, it's just two steps from city life and a traffic. Water springs, hills, wood and wild life.. Just ideal for relax and a break. Hidden in the middle of "snake pass" -probably the most beautiful road in the Europe and one of my favourite places. Will always come... More

What a wonderful setting, lots of walks, scenery and wildlife. If it's a nice day take a picnic or stop at one of the local pubs for a spot of lunch. Well worth a visit.

Ladybower is a stunning place to visit whatever the weather and at any time of the year. We got at least once each season because every season will bring something different to the view's and the animal's that are about and of course the dam itself! There is ample spot's to park, car or motorhome, or motorbike - there are... More

This place is absolutely wonderful - good for walkers and motorists. You can drive round the reservoir enjoying the view. A good little tea room at the visitor centre - beware of the ducks though - they are like seagulls and fly up to pinch your food!! Busy at weekends, weekdays quieter. Good to see Upper Derwent with the bouncing... More

During our stay in the Peak District I visited this location 3 times, once to walk and a further 2 times to run early morning, the location and well made paths make it accessible for all. One of our party also went fishing at night and stated the fishing was good, the staff were very supportive in giving guidance for... More
