Nice place to go for a stroll, stunning scenery. Perfect for anyone, couples or families, our kids loved it, they wanted to start climbing to look at the beautiful surroundings, I would recommend decent footwear if you are going off the normal path, as can be quite bumpy and wet.

Walking through Dove Dale, even on a winter's day, is always stunning. There is the constant noise of the River Dove rushing through the gorge, although there are stretches where is relatively calm. We love to look for the birds flying along the river and are always excited when we manage to spot a dipper, always identifiable by its white... More

Is life peppered with highlight? A walk up Dovedale much be one of them. The car park seems to fill up quickly even on a February weekend, and the walk up Thopre Cloud clears the lungs! The river is easy to follow provided that you can manage the stepping stones which seem to have beeen made pretty safe and even.... More

This is one of my absolute favourite places in the UK. Dovedale valley follows the River Dove. We go at least once a year and are never, ever disappointed. We usually go in spring or summer, but have been in the autumn too. The river is broad and shallow and the kids usually have a paddle. There are ducks to... More

Dovedale is a beautiful valley following the River Dove. Its scenery is fantastic and although I visited in February, I would imagine it is amazing any time of year. There is a flat tarmacked path that follows the river up the valley or a more challenging, muddy path up the other side. The flat path should be accessible to pretty... More

Great scenic walks but get there early as it can get busy. Pretty good for dogs as well. If you can try and get off the beaten track and you will enjoy the silence more.It is a popular place, understandably, so explore off piste a little if you can.

Had a lovely walk. Its a shame people that pick up dog poo then throw the bags everywhere. would be good if bins were available or signage to deter owners

My wife and I are keen walkers and this is one of our favourite places to walk with fantastic scenery a views the river dove runs through it and there's always a chance of spotting a kingfisher or two . However it gets quite busy in the summer months

Dovedale is beautiful! We walked along the path from the car park and saw a trail going up Thorpe cloud across a wooden bridge. We decided to give it a go. It was quite steep in places and you need good shoes as it was quite slippery, but the view from the top is breath taking. Not many people ventured... More
