Visited on a Sunday. Lots of activities on. Helpful staff. Amazing views. Walk we did was lovely and flat ground, lots of walks available. Lovely shops and great ice cream! Well worth buying the full day car park ticket as so much to see and do. Well worth a visit.

So I'm learning to ride a bike (at my age !!), well this is a great place to do it. Something for everyone. Playgrounds, cafes, and lots of space and cycle paths. Not to mention the water itself.

This is a fantastic place to walk, with flat, well laid paths. There are regular amenities and a Visitor Centre with plenty of information and places to eat. I accept that as there is no charge, parking prices need to be steep to pay for upkeep, etc, but why, when dogs are openly welcomed are there so few bins for... More

We camped at the Carsington Water Caravan Club site over the weekend, on the Saturday it rained most of the night but hey, Carsington Water is a man made reservoir specially built to collect water, it certainly did this weekend but was great. There are lovely walks to the visitor centre and around the lake, many cyclist use the area... More

We stayed at the Caravan Club site adjacent to the reservoir. There were some lovely walks and the Visitor Centre had everything you could need. We saw lots of birds and wildlife while we were there and weren't troubled at all by cyclists as mentioned by others. We will definitely go back.

Plenty to do for everyone. Cycle or walk round the dam. Canoe, on the reservoir. Bird watch, lovely play ground area. This is suitable for small children and another one for the older ones. A small but lovely quiz room meant to educate the younger children on how our water systems work. A few shops. Splendid cafe with views over... More

Yesterday was our second visit here and we really enjoyed our afternoon in the warm sunshine walking by the water. Others were cycling, dog walking, kayaking and the children were having fun in the play area. So plenty to do and see and then time to relax with refreshments.
