We cycled around the lake, 8.5 miles. A few steep inclines but not too bad. Could be a little busy at weekend and holidays.

A very well designed visitors facility to go alongside an attractive reservoir. Well worth a visit even if you are not a serious walker.

I started walking and I ended up walking all around it. Plenty of birds, nature. Places to rest. The is a bit expensive. Although there is a place called sheep wash were the parking is only 1 pound per 2 hours. Get something light for the rain just in case it rains half way through. It will take you a... More

This is a great day out (weather permitting of course), for a choice of things to do. If your energetic, then there are various walks around the resevoir. There are walks of 1, 2 and 3hrs duration, or as long or short as you want it to be. There is only a parking fee to consider at this venue, unless... More

The view is excellent, looking out over the reservoir. The centre is good for a visit or a cycle or walk around the water. The cream tea was lovely but we could have done with another vegetarian selection for the sandwiches. My friend had to have egg or egg!!!! Service was a little unpolished.

Cycling route was great for us as a family, perfect length of time with good facilities afterwards. A place we would recommend visiting!

Excellent water sport facilities, children's play area and café. Went canoeing, but were only allowed to paddle in a very small part of the lake. We were glad we'd only booked for an hour. It was boring going round the same bit of lake several times.

great place to chill. we cycle round here (around 8 miles) and it is good exercise as it isn't flat. this place has nice scenery and there's also somewhere for children to play on the field and a good park for them to play. boats for hire. or just relax and enjoy the area

Enjoyed the 8 mile loop which was well signed and good footpaths. Visitor centre is quite large and plenty of refreshments available.
