Great for gentle walking

Just stopped in with our motorhome had a lovely walk part way round the reservoir, then a very peaceful lunch overlooking it

We park at the southern shore of the reservoir and walked up to the visitor center. Had a nice lunch, did a bit of shopping and then walked back through the countryside. Great relaxing day out.

This spot always has something to offer whatever the season. Nice walks, long walks, short walks with young, with elderly, on foot on a bicycle. Always nice

It was quite cold when we visited here so it was not very busy. Lovely place, especially in warmer weather. Seems like there is a lot of outdoor activities

The walk around the reservoir is approx 8.5 miles, it's an achievable walk for the fit and semi fit person, on route you will also see wildlife a s good views. There are no dangerous areas to navigate

Peaceful and pleasant lovely to walk around with several walks set out of differing abilities. I have mobility issues so did the short one but was very enjoyable Visit the restaurant upstairs lovely food and exhibition is fun especially with little ones with games to help them understand all about water,

Great place to visit for a quick afternoon out, the museum that's there is very small and boring this was due to most of the exhibits being 'out of order' the ice cream shops delicious (Recommend ginger and honey flavour) overall a nice place to visit especially when the weather is sunny.

Whilst traveling back home, stopped over at Carsington Water. I have never been before, but would love to go back and explore properly. There seems to be lots to do and nice walks. Everyone seems friendly. There is a big play area for kids and water sports area for windsurfing and other water sports. I would definitely go again with... More
