Middle of Whitehaven on Lowther street. Easy to get to and is just an amazing bit of history, the rums not bad either. Kids love it

Excellent exhibition telling the story of rum, magical automaton clock telling the rum story - chimes on the hour - gathers a crowd. Excellent cafe, good home cooked food at unbeatable prices. Pensioner specials. Gift shop which also sells Rum!

Lots of good displays and accompanying video, which cover the slave trade, Prohibition, the rum making process, types of Rum, and its uses. No sign of staff other than to sell you things
