We were blown away by the choice of breads and cheeses. Rosemary and salt sour dough a real find, and a vast selection of aged cheeses from across the country. If you are in Cartmel you must visit this place, it's an experience.

Always stock up here and this weekend we sat out outside with a bottle of wine in the sunshine enjoying the cheese and bread from next door. Nice little set up

A cheese lovers oasis. Given advice and tasters of artisan cheeses and breads, there is something to suit all palates and I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. If you do visit and the weather permits try your favourite cheese and bread and get yourself an artisan ale from the micro brewery just a few steps... More

Fabulous cheeses, well worth a visit. The woman was very helpful and took time to get the right cheese for us. I would advise you to visit, you won't leave empty handed!

Happened across this wonderful shop (although shop doesn't do it justice) when visiting glorious Cartmel, we popped into to have a browse and stayed half an hour learning about the cheese makers art and indeed all things cheese !! It was an absolute joy to hear about the origins of the cheeses on sale and how they differ from those... More

What a fantastic combination a bakery & cheese shop all in one, great products, great service & no pressure to buy because once you have tasted the products you'll want to buy them anyway. You can even buy a selection of products to have with beer or wine purchased in the same yard. Talk to the cheesemonger about your likes... More

All the cheeses just sampled in the lunch we had eaten were here to buy and more. They were knowledgable and helpful and samples were enjoyed. Not cheap but different!
