Good day out for the family. Lots to see and do including farm shop, farm animals, picnic area, cafe and large play area which is £3.50 per child but worth every penny as lots of slides, assault courses etc. Cafe prices not bad either. Kids box lunch including sandwich, crisps, chocolate bar and drink for £3.50

We regularly come here as we live close by. The park has a good variety of equipment for all ages and a good mix of animals. The farm shop has a variety of foods and other bits and bobs. The only thing that lets it down is the wait for food in the tea shop. 30 min for soup and... More

Visited here with my partner and 2 children aged 2.5years and 1 years. We were surprised that you had to pay £3.50 per child!! The young girl asked how old the 'baby' was and we replied just turned 1 and she said "oh right well you'll have to pay for him" Even though our 1 year old (who has just... More

I have been visiting this farm since I was young myself, and have always thought of the place as a brilliant and exciting day out for children. However, on my recent visit I found that the price was significantly high for the children's play area, not bad when you have one child with you but when I had 4 young... More

been here a few times now and well impressed with the cafe, the shop and the garden produce. The steak pie is fantastic as is the bacon sandwich, we bought a steak pie and cooked it at home, it was just as nice. We have found the garden centre although small is very well price, as is the soil and... More

Wheelock farm is a place with everything in it, we visit most weekends and the staff are lovely with very nice food in the cafe! From working in a cafe myself for 23 years I know there can be a wait for food and for those that complain, simply don't visit on a busy day ordering large meals.

Whether taking children, grandchildren or going on your own - there is something here for everyone. You may want something for the garden, such as plants or paving slabs, or regularly used items such as a bag of logs or potatoes, or fruit, vegetables, pies and cakes, or a birthday present. There is also the tea-room, ideal for large or... More

Brilliant day out for the kids, large play areas & lots of animals go feed as you walk round the farm. There is a charge of £3.50 per child but it is worth it the play areas are great for all ages & 50p for animal feed If wanted. There is a tea room/restaurant which is very nice with indoor... More

I use Wheelock Hall Farm Shop regularly. The best thing is the easy parking, getting bigger and bigger (a measure of their success), but I always find a space. It is then convenient for all my fruit and vedg cheese and bread. You can buy an ice cream while you are shopping, and go and talk to the rabbits. For... More

This is such a fabulous place for children. The play area I one of the best around locally. The farm animals seem very nosey and used to people, great when the kids want to feed them. My only warning would be not to expect any customer service in the cafe/restaurant. The choice in there is fabulous, lots of yummy cakes!... More
