PLEASE NOTE THAT ALTHOUGH THE GARDENS ARE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK, THE HALL IS ONLY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC ON TUESDAYS, SUNDAYS AND BANK HOLIDAYS. Arley is a place of enormous character, charm and interest. Visitors are frequently struck by the warm and intimate atmosphere and the feeling that Arley is a much-cherished family home. The Gardens, which are amongst the finest in Britain, are outstanding for their vitality, variety and historical interest and are particularly celebrated for the magnificent double herbaceous border. The Hall is an impressive example of a Victorian country house built in the Elizabethan style.

The gardens at Arley Hall are an absolute real gem. We visited in late August and the double herbaceous borders were outstanding. Full of late-flowering colour and an inspiration. Throughout the garden there are wonderful areas/garden rooms and the upkeep by the team of gardeners and volunteers is to the highest standards and something that they should be proud of.... More

Beautiful house and immaculate gardens! Would have earned a rating of five if it hadn't been for the rather off-hand, brusque lady at the ticket desk. A swift course in customer relations wouldn't go amiss as I wasn't the only person she was bordering on rude to,a couple of other customers weren't happy either. We went for some refreshments as... Check opening times prior to visiting the house is not open every day. Would have been good to have a guided tour of the house. There were staff who could answer questions. The gardens are well kept and beautiful. The chapel is well worth a visit. We enjoyed our visit.

If you are interested in Gardens, Arley Gardens are a "must see". The 23 acre site is full of colour, with something different to see around every corner - walled gardens, magnificent borders, woodland walks, with many nooks and crannies. Bonus of a lovely Tea Room at the entrance.

We purchased a family ticket from LivingSocial and visited today 25th August. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone. The gardens are beautiful and well worth a wander around. My daughter (10) enjoyed the quiz, but we never did find the rootree! 😄 I found all the staff in both the house, gardens and... More

Even though some of the borders are past their best the herbaceous borders on either side of the lawn certainly retained their wow factor, they were spectacular. We really enjoyed the different parts of the garden including the vegetable plots. We would definitely visit again. The cafe was a little disappointing, we asked for scones with jam and cream, with... More

The gardens are a delight. The sandwiches were very tasty. The staff were friendly. Unfortunately we misread the times (many and varied details for both house and garden) and found a wedding going on so were unable to see the house rooms.

Some areas of garden are excellent but in general this venue needs a lot of TLC to not only the borders but the paths as well. Very over priced for what you get. We didn't actually visit the house so cannot comment on that. It was a nice sunny day so we did see it at its best for August... More

I purchased a voucher from Living Social fora family ticket for £12. We (grandparents) and 7 year old grandson went today, 18th Aug, it was a wonderful day out, journey both going and coming back just awful. A children's quiz in the gardens was a brilliant idea for Alf and the adventure playground was a total hit! Would certainly recommend... More
