Like a previous reviewer hadn't realised the house was only open two days a week and had picked a day it wasn't open - bit disappointing that. However, the gardens are a delight even viewed on a very wet miserable day. Got a huge number of ideas for my own borders, sadly not on Arley Halls scale, and the garden... More

The place to go on any day of the week, (check opening times though). Gardens stunning, particularly the borders. Beautiful setting in the Cheshire countryside. Well signposted and easy to find. Should be on your MUST DO list

The website is a little deceptive, particularly if you scan it quickly on a mobile device as I did. The house is only open two days a week and Bank Holidays although the gardens always are. This was disappointing as it was the house we had really wanted to see but the gardens are also interesting in their own right.... More

Today was our first visit to Arley Hall, and we absolutely loved it. The house was absolutely beautiful inside and out, and the staff inside were so helpful and informative, telling us about the history of the house and grounds. I felt like I was in Pride And Prejudice when we were stood in the library! The garden and grounds... More

Beautiful gardens and charming historic house however the restaurants were disappointing reasonable food but so badly organised with poorly trained staff. Next time we will take a picnic.

The house is well worth a visit, some amazing things to see. The gardens are beautiful, although it rained whilst we were ther we saw most of the gardens. The peaches in the Vinery were incredible. The mini cream tea in the Tudor Narn Restaurant was very good value for money and very enjoyable. There is plenty to do and... More

Always something to see in these beautiful gardens throughout the spring summer and autumn. the Hall can be closed for functions so the price can appear high although we normally have a two for one voucher from Gardeners World magazine. Food in the converted barn is homemade and good. staff are friendly and we visited at least twice a year,... More

An unexpected treat! Stumbled across this and delighted to find two super trails for kids, fairy glens and all sorts of hidden treasures to discover. The gardens are lovely with nooks and crannies, steps and hidden caves. The sculptures and trails are great. Friendly staff too.

These are the best gardens in the area, so good that I have a joint yearly membership so I can go as often as I like. Spring is good for the Azaleas and Rhododendrons, Autumn is good for the leaf colours. Summer is good for so many reasons, too many things to list. Allow plenty of time to see everything,... More
