We visited this zoo over the summer holidays. Staff were helpful and the children got to stroke some animals. Mostly small animals, the meerkats were our favourite. It didn't take very long to see all the animals and there was a lot of empty areas with signs about redevelopment and come back next year to see. Didn't think it was... More

We came during the lambing which was interesting, however the zoo is quite small with not many typical large zoo animals. I think this is mainly because Reaseheath is mainly a college and the animals they have the are mainly for student training? Overall not a bad experience though, with some cute creatures, but will only fill a couple of... More

I must say me, my sister and her husband were left extremely disappointed after our visit. We all paid £5 each to enter. First we walked down the corridor with all of the reptiles but we just had to look through the window into the room where all of the glass exhibits were which was disappointing…especially when we came across... Had visited the zoo last year with my young children and had been very impressed, particularly with how intimate the zoo feels and how close you can get to the animal. This visit however has left me feeling very dissapointed. The toy tractors from the entrance of the maize maze (where you park for the zoo) seem to have disappeared,... More

I visited Reaseheath Zoo yesterday with my mum, and my 2 children aged 2 and a half and 3 months. It is reasonably priced, with tickets £5 for adults. We passed a happy 3 hours there. It is a smallish place but a good variety of animals. It is buggy friendly with changing facilities and undercover picnic tables in the... More

Very unusual to have a training zoo near a small town. It is on the agricultural college campus of Reaseheath College and they are very used to children. Allow time to enjoy and directions can be obtained from the tourist office next to the bus station.

Had a lovely afternoon with my husband and 3 children - 9, 7 and 5. We were very sceptical about going after reading the other reviews but it kept the kids entertained for a good few hours and was reasonable at £15 for a family of 5. The students interacted with the kids and one got the ferrets out for... More

Been to reasheath zoo before and found it quite good, but our recent visit on Sunday 18th may "family fun day" was shocking... First thing you see is young people sheering sheep and they looked like they didn't have a clue! The way they handled them is unbelievable one got launched away once it had been shaved and looked like... More

We went today to see the lambing and the zoo. Yes to be fair in terms of the lambing you could have a long wait to see anything spectacular - that's nature for you. Lots of cure lambs to see, and lots of knowledgeable people to explain everything to you and the children around. And in terms of the zoo... More

Went here today paid for both lambing and zoo entrance £30 for 3 adults and 1 7 year old. The 'zoo' had very few animals to see, we seen handful of reptiles, few rabbits, tortoise, couple of deer, couple of wallaby, some owls and some meerkat. We were in the 'zoo' all of twenty minutes. Do not waste your money... More
