The weather betrayed us. I must admit my expectations were a bit ridiculous for the Pacific Northwest. Still, this park is a gem. Even amongst clouds. From the summit of Mt. Constitution you can behold the beauty that is this corner of the US. All around the park was filled with water holes galore...maybe I will return on one hot,... More

This is an incredibly beautiful park. The view from the top of Mt Constitution is incredible. You can drive all the way to the top or hike from several parking areas down the mountain. There are many hiking trails with something for every ability. You could easily spend all day here or just a few hours to see the highlights.

We love this park! The hiking is great with many well marked paths to enjoy. There is a large lake where you can picnic, swim, fish, kayak, paddle boat, hike around entire lake or just people and bald eagle watch. The concession stand is darling and the folks who run that and the boat rentals are very friendly and helpful.... More

If you do nothing else on this mountain, at least go on a trail where you can check out Mountain Lake. It's so pretty! It is also not crowded at all. My husband and I went over the 4th of July, and even for a holiday, there weren't too many people out. Very relaxing, fun, and a good workout. The... More

We took the Mountain Lake/Mount Constitution hike to get to the top of the mountain and the Little Summit/Mountain lake trail back to our originating point. What views! The lake is beautiful on a warm summer day. So much that I didn't resist a dip (bring a swimsuit in the summer months). The hike up is strenuous, you are climbing... More

Drive up to Mt. Constitution where you can see, Mt Baker, Twin Sisters, the Cascade Mountain Range, the Olympic Mountain Range and Mt. Ranier. Breathtaking, and it literally feels like the top of the world. Then drive down to Mountain Lake and take the beautiful 3.9 miles hike around the lake. Gorgeous, and well kept trails.

We spent most of our day exploring Moran State Park on Orcas Island, and it was one of the best days of our week long vacation to this area of the country. We stopped first at the Visitor's Center in town to pick up maps of the island. There is a public restroom just pass it near the Historical Museum.... More

This gem of a state park has something for everyone -- fantastic views from the top of Mount Constitution; even better if you take one of the hiking trails to get there! Level walks around either Mountain or Cascade lakes, a swimming beach with boat rentals (haven't tried these last two but will some day!). I spent 2 out of... More

I have camped here in the past and its really not so fun. Way too many people and very dusty in the summer. However if you go during the off season you can really appreciate the beauty of this park. Plus if you know where to go the fishing is great!

Spectacular views, lots of hiking choices. No crowds, not too difficult, so many different viewpoints far across the region. Parking is free. Hiked in November with plenty of color and mild temperatures. Wish we had given it a week!
