If you dive and are in Xcalak you must visit XTC ! I had a refresher course as I hadn't dived in a while. They made me feel relaxed and confident in the pool and were very comprehensive in what I needed to know for diving again. The dived itself was amazing. Beautiful reef with lots of fish and coral... Just stopped for a little bite and some cervesa. Staff was great Food wonderful! They take pesos or dollars so that was helpful as there are no ATM macihines for miles.

Ended up in Xcalak after passing thru Playa and Tulum. This quiet, sleepy town sports an excellent dive center. The staff was friendly, professional, and extremely accommodating. I handed my gear over to them when I checked in for the first day and they took care of set-up on the dive boats and washing of the gear after the dives.... More

We had a great day of snorkeling, searching for manatees, and exploring the abandoned boats and ?train engine. Our guide was a volunteer, her first day--she was very excited and knowledgeable about the variety of sea life we found. Her positive energy was contagious! I only wish we had had more time in order to dive with XTC. Xcalak is... More

The diving center is great. Amazing service, good briefings great locations. We also stayed in the attached little "hotel". Not luxurious at all but it has everything you need. And if it does not, the staff tries to get it for you - like cooking for us when other restaurants were closed. There is not much I can add. This... More

I went to Xcalak in December to do my advanced open water, and I'm truly glad I chose XTC. The staff were excellent and the diving was fantastic, especially the night dive. My instructor, Mathias, was great, he definitely knows his stuff. I feel I'm a much better and confident diver after taking the course there. I will definitely be... More

Spent a few days right on the property. Diving was nice and service excellent. Missed getting to Chinchorro, but would definately return to try again. Mathias and the rest of the staff were very professional.

These folks were a great help in sorting out options to get there. Top quality, friendly & safe staff, equipment, & guides. No currents, warm water, interesting sites, but not many fish and not much litter. The only reason to come here is to dive. Nothing in the village to commend.

I did my advanced open water with XTC in October. This is the best setup for getting certification. Most dive sites are literally 5 mins away with Chinchorro right on the doorstep. International super friendly staff are professional and experienced. Xcalak is super chilled out off the beaten track. My family got in some great snorkling and sightseeing.

I have planned to dive with XTC months in advance. We were exploring the areas in Costa Maya including the Rio Bec area ruins. Xcalak was where we planned to chill out after a week long itinerary of Mayan ruins. I was glad to find out upon my arrival that a trip to Banco Chinchorro was planned for the next... More
