First, diving with Nomad Divers is significantly less expensive than the cruise ship excursion. Getting to Nomad Divers from the cruise ship was a $2.00, 15 minute cab ride to Hotel 40 Cañones. A 1 minute walk from the curb in front of the hotel, through the hotel to the beach and you're at Nomad. Note: there are no signs... More

We got scuba certified in Crystal River, FL and took a western carribean cruise a couple of days later to get some practice diving at our stops in Roatan, Honduras, Costa Maya (Mahahual) and Cozumel, MX. We seldom do excursions through the ship because they are more expensive and we get a much better experience on our own. As brand... More

I requested a private dive because I only wanted to dive to 50 feet or less as I am interested in photography and without a light source, at that depth photos and videos are still excellent. They were very accommodating and the dive was excellent. The corals were great and saw some interesting sea life, including lion fish, turtles, lobsters... More

My husband and I dove with Selma around Thanksgiving 2014, when our cruise ship was docked at Costa Maya. I needed to finish my last 2 open water dives for PADI certification, but my husband was already a certified, experienced diver. I was concerned that he would be bored, having to watch me do drills, etc. (But I insisted on... More

Nomad is the best for booking your own cruise excursion. My husband and I have been out with Selma four times in the past few years. We love to get away from the ship and do our own thing. It's so close and easy to get there from the cruise terminal, only $2 by taxi (outside the terminal). We usually... More

I went diving with Selma during a cruise stop in Costa Maya. Communications with her in setting up the dives was pretty straight forward. Her instructions on where to meet her and how to get there were very helpful. Her picks of the dive sites were excellent and I enjoyed the dives. She gives you personalized service and was very... My husband and I just finished yesterday our open water diving courses and got certified!! Selma, our instructor was awesome!!!!. She was very patient, very thorough in explaining to us clearly what she expected of us when doing the exercises. When I think that just 10 years ago I couldn't put my head under water at all, and now I... More

Had a great time diving with Selma at Costa Maya last week. Selma ran a safe and beautiful dive. Her dive site selection was terrific. Her pre dive instructions ranging from how to meet her from the cruise ship to what to expect on the dive were very clear and helpful. It's clear that Selma views even her new customers... More

My husband and I went diving with Selma in December 2013. We ported in on our Norwegian cruise ship, took a taxi to the location and got back in plenty of time. We even had time to relax on the beach before we had to leave. We did a 2 tank dive and had a great and relaxing dive. It... More
