I had read good reviews of this tour and decided to book a tour with them instead of our cruise ship. It was much cheaper than the tours offered by the cruise ship. Our tour guide, Joell, is a native Mayan, so on our bus ride to the ruins he taught us a lot about the Mayan culture today and... More

Erick (our enthusiastic guide) and our driver for the day, Edgar made the tour to the mayan ruins at Dzibanche one of the highlights on our recent Caribbean Cruise. We booked directly through Native Choice for an onshore excursion in Costa Maya, separate from the cruise offered tour. The native choice tour office is admittedly a bit of a walk... More

We stopped in Costa Maya on a cruise in September 2014. This was by far the best part of our trip. Our tour guide, Raquel, was incredibly enthusiastic. Her passion for her job and her country was clearly evident throughout the tour. She was a wealth of knowledge and was willing to go above and beyond for her guests!

What better way to have a tour than to have it with a native! Erick is so knowledgeable, patient and kind. He made this tour entertaining, educational, informative and relaxing. Our tour was booked through Shore Excursions Group via travel agent. We booked a Best of 3 promotion and it definitely exceeded our expectations. Upon our arrival at the meeting... More

His tour is a little bit more out of the way than the rest, but definitely worth it. It is a 2 hour drive but I was one of 8 people on the grounds, and that includes the guide, the driver, and the groundskeeper. Also, this is the only group of ruins that you can still climb to the top.... More

I booked the Native Choice Chacchoben tour for my girlfriend and I, through their website, and the communication was quick and clear. The map they provided was very helpful, because the way the port of Costa Maya is set up, the exit is tucked and hidden away. The walk to the operator was very short, and when we started heading... Our family had a great time & learned so much at the Chacchoben ruins and the Mayan village. We were the only people on our tour and so 4 of us had a van with 3 tour guides! Our son is of Mayan descent and we learned so much about his culture. The village was great. We made our own... More

There was nothing extreme about the Chaccoben Extreme Tour except the amount of enjoyment involved. We returned from a cruise on Saturday, and the Chacchoben tour through Native Choice was the highlight of our trip. A fascinating small-group trip through the ruins, followed by a relaxing afternoon at a beautiful resort -- what's not to like? After forming up at... More

My guidebook said that the Dzibanche ruins were the best in the area so we booked the tour with Native Choice, based on the TrapAdvisor recommendations. Our cruise ship (Norwegian Sun) did not offer this tour. The office is about a 15 minute walk from the pier. The directions we received were easy to follow. We were promptly checked in... More

This was our first visit to Costa Maya. I had read about Native Choice through CC and TA and decided the Extreme tour would satisfy my wife and I. We made if off the ship and arrived at the office without any difficulty. They provided cold water while we waited for the 3rd couple to arrive and off we went.... More
