This tour is an amazing experience and an opportunity to learn about both Mayan history and the current Mayan culture. Although a bit of a walk, it is worth the few extra minutes finding the office. We started out visiting the Chacchoben Ruins. Our guide Erick gave an informative tour and explained the history of the Ruins in an understandable... More

Best thing we did on our cruise vacation! Rachel was a fantastic guide; she set the context for our visit to the ruins perfectly. The site was just amazing. And the trip to the Seven Colors Lagoon was great was to end the tour, wonderful food and such a relaxing and beautiful atmosphere. Take this tour!

We had a wonderful time learning about the culture from our AMAZING guide, Raquel. The information made going to the ruins more fascinating. The lunch at the Seven Colors Lagoon was wonderful. We had a blast at the lagoon swimming and kayaking!

Fantastic! Raquel was personable and knowledgeable and between her and Pedro, our needs were always the top priority. The ruins themselves were magnificent and I appreciated Raquel creating opportunities for us to experience them without the huge crowd. The 2nd part of the tour was so cool. Great food and service. It was neat to have the chance to chill... More

We took the tour in early November and it was spectacular. Erick was a very informative guide and Raul was a very conscientious driver. One of the most attractive aspects of this tour is that, because Dzibanche is relatively remote, we had the place to ourselves. We could climb the various monuments in the absence of crowds at all. We... More

Wow...this excursion was one worth taking! My friend and I accidentally calculated the time wrong and arrived late to the meeting point. At our arrival every employee there scrambled to catch us up to our tour group despite the fact that our missing the bus was completely our fault. Not once was this mentioned, nor were we made to feel... More

took this tour as part of a large group from a cruise ship. I'm glad we had the large group to walk through the port area and out to the office. It would have been a bit intimidating if I was walking on my own. We boarded very comfortable buses and the guide had a good commentary about the area... More

This company was exactly what we were looking for. When we started to look at the options available from our cruise ship for Costa Maya, we just weren't impressed. Instead we booked with this local company and had a truly memorable experience. The only "bad" part of the day was the walk to the local office, which is a pretty... More

If you are going to see the ruins you must go with Native Choice. The groups are small (we had 8 total on our tour). Erick and Miquel where our guides. Erick was very knowledgeable and took his time to explain everything. We ran into some rain and Miquel immediately ran to the van to get umbrellas and ponchos for... More

Costa Maya was one of our cruise's stops. I booked this excursion to the Chacchoben Mayan ruins per other reviews read on this site and because the guides are locals. It did not disappoint! The only issue was the walk in the morning to the office of Native Choice. These companies are not allowed on port property, so you have... More
