We walked from Akulma beach to the half moon bay, it was a nice area, but it was mainly for the private residents there. No amenities, I would just stay at the Akulma Beach and swim with those nice turtles.

Half Moon Bay is a very relaxed, laid back bay, away from the crowds in Akumal Bay. It has good snorkelling (if you can find the coralls - as they are only on a relatively small area of the bay). It can get quite windy and wavy that makes snorkeling less enjoyable. Don't miss La Buena Vida restaurant!
