Beautiful place to spend a week or two. You can snorkel and see beautiful fish just outside your front door. Lapping waves at your feet, millions of stars at night, and great restaurants make this a wonderful place to be. Not to mention swimming with turtles and even better snorkeling are in walking distance.

My family of 19 stayed in condos on half moon bay for xmas last year. We all loved it there. Some thoughts if you are going: - bring water shoes. half moon bay is not sandy in the water. there is a nice strip of sand to walk along the beach but not in the water. -very quiet brick road... More

We loved this beach, swimming with turtles was awesome. Paid for a tour $25 each but it was worth it. Hung out at the baech afterwards and although crowded, it was great.

This is a great day adventure out. Snorkeling here is pristine - crystal clear water, amazing variety of coral and fish. You can walk in off the shore - and even 200 yards out you can still stand up if you need a break. The reef protects the bay - and provides the amazing snorkeling. Enter at La Buena Vida... More

it's a great place to spend a afternoon to get out of the resort. Relaxing and nice snorkling. Think of a small cluster or cafes and restaurants in the Laurentiens.. quaint and charming...

compared to Akumal beach - lunch at LBV then a relax on the beach - what vacations are made for :-) can feel the warmth right now, reasonable snorkeling too, but not quite as good as Akumal. Enjoy.

This is our first stay on Half Moon Bay. We rented the Casa Maya--a one bedroom house all by itself just down from La Lunita restaurant. Half Moon Bay is different from Akumal Beach and Turtle Bay in it is a little more isolated (no public beach), and fewer turtles. The beach is rocky in places, but generally sandy. It... More

With no public access and only 1 mile north of Akumal Bay you can avoid the crowds. Two great beachfront restaurants (La Lunita and La Buena Vida). Book your vacation at any of the multiple condo complexes for a more laid back setting in Akumal. Still protected by the reef with calm waters make for great snorkeling, paddle boarding and... More
