Great out-of-the-way place to snorkel

This is a beautiful lagoon for snorkeling but without the crowds. Very few people in the water and just minutes away from our fav restaurant La Buena Vida.

Seriously nice place, calm water will allow you to enjoy the fishes. Only 100 pesos for the entrance, you will take at leas 50 pictures of the lagoon! Particularly recommended for beginners and children, the water temperature is always warm. Be sure not to miss it, to do the whole lagoon tour by fins it will take u 2 hrs.

Safe and enjoyable snorkelling in the calm waters of the lagoon. Plenty of interesting fish and staff who are knowledgable, helpful and working on conserving the environment. What more can you ask? Plan on at least a couple of hours.

We spent a week here, and saw eagle rays, turtles, squid, lots of fish, and a stingray. Sweet.

we rented a golf cart in Akumal and drove to yal-ku to snorkel. Absolutely beautiful and good for kids as the water is clear and calm so they can learn to snorkel and see the pretty fish.

first of all the grounds are well kept with beautiful sculptures the snorkeling is nice especially if you keep to the left and follow those rocks all the way back. It's also a great place for newby snorkelers to learn since it's calm

some unusual snorkelling as this is like a lake surrounded by rainforest. Costs about £6 to get in but worth it. About 40 minutes walk from AKumal beach hotel or take a taxi

This is such a special place in North Akumal. Yal-ku Lagoon is ringed by private villas. Visitors are lucky to have this wonderful park to access a private lagoon. It's an unexpected sculpture garden in the jungle. Shaded by trees with a nice little snack bar and bath/dressing rooms. Yal-ku lagoon park has wooden steps to make it easy to... More
