We rented a fishing boat with captain for 3 hours. Our captain was very knowledgeable and tried various methods and areas to try to make a catch. Unfortunately, we weren't successful this trip but had a wonderful morning on the ocean! When coming back to shore and docking the boat, our captain pointed out four sea turtles that we were... Three of my four adult children took dive lessons here, and all were very pleased with the instruction. Two were beginners and the other took an advanced open-water course. At the end of their lessons five of us booked the dive shop to take us to Dos Ojos Cenote (three for diving, two for snorkeling), and once again, we were... More

I wished to experience something new and my friends recommended to me diving. I'm so happy I did it in Akumal Dive Shop at the first time! I was terrified of going under the water, and had so much support from instructor and the team to do that. And now I'm totally in love with these whole new world open... More

My husband made our reservations with Isela who was informative and helpful in getting us squared away. We went on a dive not far from the shop and were transported by a small boat. Our dive master Saul was the most kind, patient guide I have ever had in any country. Two of us needed more weight to descend and... More

Finding Akumal Dive Shop was sort of a spontaneous adventure for us! We found out you can take a shared van from Playa del Carmen to Akumal for about $2.50 each (rather than a one-way $30 taxi!). It drops you off on the freeway, then you walk over the freeway and along a path that takes you to the dive... More

The "Kantaris" was great. Angel and Luis took care of all our needs. The Robinson Crusoe trip is a great way to spend a day. Thanks Akumal Dive Shop!

Rented a snorkel and mask to go see the turtles, about $10 for the hour I needed it, a bit steep, but what are you going to do? the service was fast and friendly and it tasted of cleaner, so it must have been clean right? The mask didn't leak and the snorkel let air in, so I got what... More

We took a break from Cozumel and wanted to dive Cenotes. The only shop I would use to do that is Akumal Dive Shop. I have used the shop back in 2010 and was sold on it and still am. it is one of the very unique dive shops in the Caribbeans that has employees you see year over year.... More
