Great waves and friendly surfers

Easy for anyone to paddle out and catch a wave. Everyone was super supportive and lots of waves for all skill sets.

It has several different beach front restaurants, some excellent. Also the local cooperativa has many different boat and fishing tours as well as whale watching in season. The beach is not always the best for swimming because of rocks, some of which are cleared.,

This is a nice beach with a few restaraunts and surfing vendors along the way. We rented a Stand up paddle board and had a great time. A few days earlier, we were there and there were lots of great waves and surfing. Very friendly and safe area.

Nice, quiet beach. No loud music blaring your ear, no hassle street vendor. Just a nice stretch of beach with a bit rocky sand here and there, good restaurants, warm and friendly people. A very nice place to just sit, relax, and unwind.

The area around here has a great selection of restaurants and the mood is very laid back. The bus goes all the way from Puerto Vallarta and the road ends right up the hill from the beach. The beach is peaceful and the waves are perfect for a beginner surf instruction. We rented a boat from Oscar and went out... More

I take the bus up the coastal road from Bucerias to El Anclote. It's easy to get to, the bus rout stops there! El Corral is a great restaurant where you can spend the afternoon. No waiters rushing you. Eat, drink, take a swim, the come back for more. You actually have to ask for the bill. So stay and... More

Great food and great service! The server gave a 10% off coupon to use during our stay! Would definitely go back!

Pros: the Beach is really nice for surfing and paddle board. The sand is whiter, not like Vallarta. Cons: you only get access to the beach in certain areas. Most of the peninsula is closed. So if you are not staying at a hotel inside or going to the golf course then you have to stay in the restaurants and... More

The Swell takes a strong hurricane swell or macking southern swell to come alive but when it works, it makes for long rides off the point, great vibe in the crowds and is ideally suited for a longboard.
