little spot out of the way... great 'beach' access club... (only pay about $1.30 per beer) and great food (just no chicken or beef) everything seafood. Very nice people... had a great massage next door at 'Remy's' ... the water is MUCH cleaner and more blue there... (no idea why)... great day trip!

A buddy and I dropped in here for a couple of cervezas and a little snack. Great friendly staff. Outstanding shrimp cocktail. Cold beer. Beautiful view. Dirt cheap. Worth it!

El Anclote is located at the entrance to Punta Mita. There are several restaurants, a fun beginner surf spot, a few surf rental shops, and people renting fishing boats. We highly recommend Mictlan Surf School. We rented surfboards, standup paddle boards, and took multiple boat trips with them. The staff at Mictlan Surf School are all amazing. They are knowledgable... More

Good for photo ops, browsing in a few shops, lunch/dinner on the beach. Don't miss the fish tacos. We enjoyed La Cabana, El Dorado and El Coral restaurants.

El Anclote sits at the entry to the private Punta Mita resort which is home to the Four Seasons and St. Regis resorts as well as various massive villa-style beach homes. Once a local fishing village, El Anclote is now the low to mid-budget location at the mouth of the Punta Mita penninsula. The small town is notable for the... More

be carful if you are considering staying here. Do your research as you could be very dissapointed like we were. Food was average, beaches are nothing special and the town is dirty and overpriced.

Can't begin to say enough about this Mexican beach front restaurant. Next door to the renown La Artista restaurant - this family owned establishment prides itself in consistent quality and service. No doubt one of the big reasons why they have remained in business for so many years. When we want to get away from all the hustle and bustle... More
