My friend saw this vineyard featured on Pati's Mexican Table on PBS; we found their office in SMA and booked a tour which included a tasting of 5 wines accompanied by some tapas. The tour was very informative and given in both Spanish and English. We were driven through the vineyard in a tractor-drawn, sheltered cart. We stopped to climb... More

Passionate staff, incredible architecture, phenomenal wine, magic food pairings. This bodega is just getting started with very impressive results. Engaging and knowledgeable team. Loved meeting the owner, and enjoying the hospitality of Cyntia. The winemaker Juan is getting amazing results from young vines. Loved the dessert wine that is based on his grandmothers recipe and is the reason for the... More

We set aside two hours for this tour and ended up staying over four! It was such a gorgeous setting, we decided to buy a bottle after the tasting and stay for a knockout sunset. The owners take an effort to really get to know everyone and you can tell there's a great amount of passion that they feel for... More

While driving to Dolores Hidalgo we were told there was a vineyard nearby. We decided to take a detour and were pleasantly surprised. We didn't have a reservation but the team at Cuna de Tierra still welcomed us. The tasting room looked straight out of a magazine! The wine selection was great and we also ordered a large cheese platter... More

I could not expect something better from a visit to the viñedo Cuna de Tierra. Along with my friend, we spent a nice time hearing as much as the Greek and Roman history of wine from an experienced grape grower, until a hidden chapter of the Mexican Independence related to wine making. Afterwards, we knew the artisan production process the... More

This small artesanal winery is run by lovely (English-speaking) folks trying to take advantage of the region's dry climate. The wine tasting only is relatively expensive. But if you plan (ahead) and do one of the tours, it's a better deal. And the event space is phenomenal!

We visited Cuna de Tierra as part of a day trip to Dolores Hidalgo and Atonolico. The welcome was warm and the wines very good considering the enterprise is so young. And the architecture is truly stunning. Our only complaint is the rather high price for a tasting & tour: 350 pesos per person which didn't include any food at... More

If you have time make sure to visit Cuna de Tierra,a winery on the outskirts of Dolores Hildago. I recently went for a special wine tasting event and picnic. The area is perfect for red wines. Their blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Franc just one a medal in Madrid Spain and was a rich full-bodied red with... More
