This is a must stop! Plan to spend about an hour seeing the lovely house and furnishings including the incredible kitchen complete with old ceramics and plaster copies of foods of the day. Take time to read the histories of the war and study the pictures and documents. A lovely inner patio with well and an herb garden. Many benches... More

I was thrilled to visit Dolores Hidalgo but oddly enough not so much because this was the crib of Mexican Independence, but because this was the hometown of famed singer Jose Alfredo Jimenez. There is a museum two blocks from the church worth the visit as most of the best Mexican singers have sang at least one of his songs.... More

Some friends took me there, I'd actually been there in 2009, but we went again in 2012. It's changed a lot, and more interactive things were added to involve you more in the information relayed so you remember it better. I was happy with this visit... and I recommend it to folks of any age. It will certainly help you... More
