A beautiful, gentle stroll along this malencon-generally very quiet, easy access to beach with much birdlife.

We walked that malecon on a beautiful March Sunday early evening. There were so many people and families eating, playing, strolling and enjoying the the lakefront.

Any time of the day is great to take a walk. But especially just before sunset to get some great pictures.Get up early and walk the beach on the east side of the malecon just past La Nueva posada to get some beautiful sunrises. The malecon is full of life and families having fun.

Well built/nicely designed. The new(ish) malecon adds a park-like setting for long walk along Ajijic's scenic lake.

Wonderful park for walking the dog, reading a book, taking the children to the playground. The clean and well kept malecon a delight for children and seniors alike and everyone in between.

We had read that it’s climate was perfect year round and that there were many services due to the large number of expatriates living in the area. Our concern as we near retirement is the cost of... I was impressed that a local couple took it upon themselves to improve the area by paying to have the area cleaned up, put in new garbage cans, a newly created bench and potted flowers along one part of the Malecon... well done John and Linda.

It's gorgeous and I hope it never gets busy on the weekends with Tapatios like Chapala. It's mostly finished but there's still some work that is being done (eg building stairs to the beach.) There are areas for your bbq and some picnic tables...a skate park for the kids on the west end and in between, some playgrounds for the... More

Take a walk along the well lighted and well kept Malecon and just soak it all up. Take a look and a listen of all that is going on around you and enjoy. You will get to see a beautiful sunset if your timing is right along with all the others who have come out to enjoy the day along... More
