Several cafes to sit in the shad and enjoy watching people. Cute little stands selling arts and crafts on the path out of the Malecon.

Great place to just wander, see the vendors, have lunch or sit and read watching the water and people.

Beautiful view of lake and surrounding hills. Saw looks of migrating birds. Lots of friendly people. Lots of internationals, mostly Canadians winter in this area. It's a wonderful no stress walk and village. Great shopping and restaurants near by. Check out the weekend events there.

We walk our dogs here every morning and evening. It's a lovely way to begin and end the day. Great place to see the sunrise and the sunset. See www.artechapatlan.com for more attractions lakeside.

We love to walk on the Malecon. The views, the birds, the local people….fabulous. Plus, if you stay further toward West Ajijic, the Malecon is the best way to walk into the Village on flat pavement.

The Malecon in Ajijic was really nice to walk every morning, extremely clean and well kept with people just relaxing on the benches in the shade. The people were are all so nice, everyone said hello and we never saw any vendors walking and asked to buy something like in other spots in Mexico.

We walk our dogs here regularly. Beautiful sunsets, love watching the local children. Great place at sunset to get an ice cream and get some exercise. One of our favorite places for leisurely walking with the dogs.

Beautiful! Views of the sunrise and sunset daily from this north side of Lake Chapala. Families enjoy gathering at the park along the malecon every weekend. We were privileged to be there just prior to Easter and there were mariachi bands and many celebrations happening. Cons: Restroom at park is a pay-per-use, so be prepared. Otherwise, best to stop and... More

When we stayed in Ajijic we walked the malecon twice a day from our casita in 6 corners to Colon. It is so lovely, sometimes quiet, sometimes filled with people, children, lovers, families. the view of the lake is so wonderful it refreshed or energized depending on what we needed.

This is a wonderful place to stroll, particularly at sunset, when the lake and mountains in the background provide some spectacular sights. It is well maintained and at weekends provides a place for the local inhabitants to enjoy a picnic. Although there are no restaurants on thr Malecon itself, there are any number within a couple of blocks. Aivars T.
