The sunset walk along the Malecon in Ajijic, Jalisco Mexico borders Lake Chapala for a nice relaxing time to reflect on the day and also watch kids playing, families spending time with one another. Just beautiful! Benches to sit on when you need a rest, too! Afterward there are lots of great little cafes to stop in for a meal... More

Not much going on in Ajijic Malecon except I suppose on national holidays. Nice and clean though and the people of Ajijic are very welcoming.

There is an excellent workout area near the skate board site. A new computer center was added this year near the pier. The malecon is a lovely place to unwind and meet people.

A walk along Ajijic's malecon is not to be missed. Along with the zocalo (the main plaza) this is where you'll find the residents enjoying the town, gossiping, and playing. The views across Lago Chapala are outstanding, no matter the time of day, with that in mind, be sure to take it in more than once.

A lovely little stroll, with a park for the kids, a skate park for the teens and beautiful sunsets for adults of every age. A great place for a walk anytime day or evening. Most popular on holidays and weekends. They have added some new statues since my last review and the lake is much healthier with green growth and... More

The malecon is a family place with kids on bicycles and skateboards, family picnics, dog walkers and bench sitters just enjoying the sunset.

Beautiful Sunsets over Lake Chapala, gathering place for the locals and tourists alike. Families, loud music, street vendors with coffee and candy, picnic tables and benches in park area and on the boardwalk, roving mariachi band, some brave souls swimming in plant-covered water and some in boats navigating the through them, art in the park- Juanita's garden boat, Buddha, and... The Ajijic Malecon is shorter than I'd like, but it's kept clean and there are always lots of people walking and chatting along the lake. There's an exercise station with a few pieces of equipment, a skateboard section, a basketball court, a couple of palapas, picnic area and benches to sit and enjoy the view of Lake Chapala. There are... More

The malecón is a beautiful walkway along Lake Chapala in Ajijic. Many can be seen walking its length for exercise and for walking their dogs. The grassy area has picnic tables, activities for children, an outdoor gym , a skatepark and a basketball court and mini stadium for concerts. On the weekends the malecon is very active with local vendors,... More
