We didn't need the wheelchairs this time as we were not traveling with our elderly parents but how lovely and thoughtful it was of the people to have them available with a wonderful person to take people around. That gesture means the world to us as we've traveled in other places where it wasn't possible for people with slight trouble... More

Last stop on the cruise...under a hot glorious March sun. This little man-made paradise is great, well laid-out and maintained with lots to do. You tender in from the ship; it takes about 10 min at a very slow speed. There are several beaches; the further you walk along, the fewer the crowds. You can rent all sort of water... More

My wife and I were fortunate to visit this island during a 7 day cruise on Norwegian Breakaway and were ferried ashore for the day. The Island is owned by Norwegian cruise line and is uninhabited when not servicing their cruise ships. It has been specially equipped for day tourists as a beach resort and includes beach huts, bars and... More

We stopped here (or rather stopped in the water and took a small boat here) on the Norwegian Sky. It is a very nice little island (NCL privately ownwed island) and very clean. There is a small area to buy little trinkets and souvenirs run by the locals (though the price is much higher here as opposed to other places... More

Took the NCL cruise out of NYC and one of the stops is their Island Great Stirrup Cay. We took a later tender over and still had plenty of places to sit and relax and enjoy. If you keep walking past the crowded entertainment beach you will come upon nice and quiet almost kid free areas. There is various activities... More

This was my second visit to Great Stirrup Cay from NCL in 4 years, and it only gets better. With all the other days of excursions and activities, we looked forward to a long day of relaxing on a beautiful beach. The small cabana we rented as a couple could easily have accommodated 4. Equipped with lounge chairs, table, frig.... More

Went for Spartan Race cruise. Only time on the island was racing. Lots of fun. Got to run some hiking trails and swim through different parts of the island other than the shore. Would not want to go if there was not a spartan race since I am not a sit around and lounge type person. Second day was stormy... More

Tough to complain when escaping our brutal winter. It was a nice island but there isn't much to do but lounge and have a few drinks....Definitely, not complaining! There are activities and snorkeling but all is at an extra cost if your interested. Even Cabana chairs.

We spent the day on the beach in a cabana on Great Stirrup Cay in February and would highly recommend it to anyone. We were on a Norwegian cruise and took the tender over early in the morning. We had a variety of food in the cabana waiting and a waitstaff that couldn't have been any more helpful. Our day... More

So admittedly I am not the first to say "let's go to the beach", so the idea of spending the day there wasn't at the top of my list. My wife likes to go and since we were on our second cruise with Norwegian and since it was the Bahamas I figured why not make the most of it. The... More
