We stumbled across this unusual hotel / attraction by chance and had time to kill before flying back home. It turned out to be an amazing visit. The hotel is located in a park and is open to tourists during the day. The various rooms / suits run the gamut from plain snow to elaborate ice carvings and lighting. Tours... More

This was such a different destination than we have ever experienced - even compared to the true glacier that we explored many decades ago. The creativity involved in putting this altogether and making it fun and engaging was quite impressive. Our brief tour, led by Vanessa, was full of interesting details about building the hotel, and what it was like... More

if you're staying overnight, everything opens at 9 pm. you can check in earlier and get your locker, drop off your overnight stuff, schedule your 15 minute mandatory training and wander the grounds. we checked in at about 4 or 5 pm, stayed for about an hour or so and then left to find some dinner and entertainment for a... The ice hotel was our favorite attraction in Quebec City! We couldn't believe that this place is rebuilt every year. We did not stay the night but loved the tour! It leaves the front gate every hour on the hour - take it, it's fantastic! BUNDLE UP - we regretted that we didn't wear hats mittens scarves boots. Snow pants... More

Well done ice hotel. It is really cool and really amazing with acceptable fee. It is really easy to get there by bus.

Adrenaline pumping all the time! Amazing time at the Hotel De Glace and let me tell you - It is friggin' cold! I went there on a Wednesday - hotel was fully booked. Staff was very friendly. Also, there is a mandatory orientation that was very helpful and gave tips on how to stay warm the whole night. The carving... More

What a uniques place to visit. The rooms were decorated by different designers, and they were all worth a look. Who knew that so many cool things could be done with ice! I'm not a big vodka drinker, but it sure tasted good when it came from an ice tumbler! It would have been fun to see what a night... More

I went there with 2 young kids and some friends (who also had kids). First, dress warmly, even on a sunnier day, you need a hat, gloves, scarves, extra sweater. I would even wear long johns under jeans and boots. There are alot of tour buses that come here so expect alot of people. I waited about 10 minutes for... More

Forget everyone who complains about the cold! This was an amazing place to visit and the drinks were lovely. If you're the type of person who doesn't care about the discomfort, and is able to thrive on excitement alone, you will love this place.

I was too stupid to bring warm boots and a thick coat. I didn't stay over night (thank God). It was tricky to find the right tour, but once we did, it was very informative. Lots of the rooms with special themes and sculptures, but the non-themed rooms are almost pointless. haha There was a wedding going on, so we... More
