I've always loved this church because of the mosaics, which are incredible. It's one of the most beautiful cathedrals I've seen. Gorgeous architecture, too. Love the mosaics! This is a must while visiting the Quebec region -- don't miss it!

My grandmother came here and climbed the steps on her knees, as did many pilgrims before her. I didn't do that, but I was very moved by the beauty of this place and the thought of her doing that decades ago. I think there is much to be gained by visiting beautiful churches like this, even if you're not religious.... More

We took a "country tour" with a tour bus and this was one of the stops. We are not Catholic but truly no person could walk through those amazing copper doors (heavy) and not be spellbound by the awesome work and beauty of this church. The tour guide says it is always ongoing upkeep and you can see why, it... More

I am an architect. I saw somes photos about that basilica and I thought I must be go there. Just 25 mins by car from Quebec oldtown. The fifth Church was build from 1923-1934, now still quite new and very impression facade. The Architectural is Neo Roman Style with the height 82m. Interior design is very magnifical, 326 polychrome marble... More

Huge. You see the double spires from a distance. It is indeed an edifice that built to draw in thousands. The interior is clean, high, with lots of art both in the main sanctuary and the one in the basement. The lower sanctuary was especially interesting in its historical portrayal of the conversion of the Native Americans. There are many... More

So beautiful and so big I am surprised. Partially due to this basilica being so far from the main city, that I wonder how it became and survived. The workmanship and look is stunning and as nice and big as many in Europe. We looked through every nook and cranny, ...upper and lower floors. Small rooms to the side youcan... More

A 45 minute drive from Québec City. The Basilica is quite remarkable and even more so the gardens and ancient buildings along side. Well worth the drive, but do some reading about Ste. Anne and the church before you go to fully appreciate it.

Took the bus tour from Quebec City at the tourist shop. Did the large water falls and a couple other stops. Cathedral was nice , big and good for the kids to see.
