Beautiful basilica in a small town. My favourite is one of the chapels in the "basement" where the blues in the ceramic tiles are stunningly beautiful and the ambiance is warming. Next to it is the old church (on the side of the hill) with stations of the cross next to it with very well done statues. The museum is... More

Even if you are not a fan of the Catholic Church, the cathedral is worth a visit. It compares well to any of the grand cathedrals in Europe, and one of the top cathedrals in North America.

I truly enjoyed our visit in this magnificent , beautiful church! It was just like visiting Lourdes again, but in a smaller scale. I was impressed with the many smaller chapels that it has. The miraculous statue of St. Ann left a lasting memory that I will forever cherish. Behind the statue was St Ann's relic, where one can pray... More

This was definitely and impressive basilica. Not quite as ornate as many European churches, but impressive for North America. Very large with a lower chapel that is interesting. Outside is an older building commemorating the older versions (this basilica is fairly new). There is a stations of the cross trail with life-sized figures that starts from another small chapel. The... More

We travel every year or two to visit this beloved sanctuary. Each time we are warmly received and renewed by what becomes an immersion into God through St. Anne. Sublime visit!

For $6, my family of 3 was able to park and visit the Basilica. The architecture is absolutely amazing! We were completely in awe of the unbelievable mosaic work throughout the church. Even if you are not a religious person, this is a very spiritual building. We were moved by it.

There has been a church on this site for 350 years and then present Basilica dates from 1923. Although modern in comparison with the great European cathedrals, St Anne’s gives one an example of church architecture in the Romanesque style. The massive ceilings soar overhead and it is worth reclining discretely on a bench to get a better view of... More

The grandeur of this church was very moving. The lower level was not as grandiose, but very simple and very, very moving to see. It was an emotional experience . This was a stop on a tour , and I was not so sure I would be interested in it, but I was very touched by the whole experience.

This basilica left us speechless. We were in awe. Well worth the drive (about 30 min from Quebec City).

My wife and I recently visited Quebec City. This was our first stop. It is about 20 miles north of the city on Rt. 138. I had not been there for about 40 years. It is beautiful inside and out. It is easy to see why it holds such reverence for French Canadians. The basilica has always been dear to... More
