For $6, my family of 3 was able to park and visit the Basilica. The architecture is absolutely amazing! We were completely in awe of the unbelievable mosaic work throughout the church. Even if you are not a religious person, this is a very spiritual building. We were moved by it.

There has been a church on this site for 350 years and then present Basilica dates from 1923. Although modern in comparison with the great European cathedrals, St Anne’s gives one an example of church architecture in the Romanesque style. The massive ceilings soar overhead and it is worth reclining discretely on a bench to get a better view of... More

The grandeur of this church was very moving. The lower level was not as grandiose, but very simple and very, very moving to see. It was an emotional experience . This was a stop on a tour , and I was not so sure I would be interested in it, but I was very touched by the whole experience.

This basilica left us speechless. We were in awe. Well worth the drive (about 30 min from Quebec City).

My wife and I recently visited Quebec City. This was our first stop. It is about 20 miles north of the city on Rt. 138. I had not been there for about 40 years. It is beautiful inside and out. It is easy to see why it holds such reverence for French Canadians. The basilica has always been dear to... More

A beautiful shrine with a healing focus. Gorgeous gardens/ fountain and beautiful exterior and interior of the shrine. You can see an exact replica of Michelangelo's Pieta here. No charge to get in (donations welcomed of course).

I loved that Sainte Anne still rings real churchbells as a call to mass. At night, the candlelight processions and singing are worth watching and listening to, whether or not you're Catholic. If you're interested in Quebec craftsmen at their best, visiting the basilica to see the stonework, woodwork, and hammered copper doors is worth your time.

Downstairs.. Like no cathedral I've ever seen. Made me think of a nice palace. The images and tile designs very telling about Canadian history.
