St Annes is a remarkable place to see if you are person of faith or not . To see the Basilica and its beauty and to see the crutches etc left by people claiming a miracle there is awe inspiring

Our family trip to St. Anne de Beaupre Basilica was very special. I have been a subscriber to their Annals for over 50 years and enjoy reading about all the pilgrimages there. Everyone should plan a trip there.

The Basilica is alongside the St Lawrence River in Beaupre, 30 minutes from Quebec City. It has its origins in the 17th century. Inside the stunning, awe inspiring basilica is an impressive collection of mosaics, tilework, stained glass, paintings and sculptures. Near the entrance are 2 pillars full of canes, crutches, braces and mobility aids that have been discarded by... More

If you're taking a drive from Quebec up along the St. Lawrence (a BEAUTIFUL drive!), this is an interesting side trip not far away from the city (and even closer to Montmorency Falls). A very nice cathedral.

Not to be missed a breathtakingly beautiful cathedral with plenty of free parking along the streets surrounding the church. Amazing to find a lovely basilica in such a small town. Two floors with several areas where mass could be held. Tours are given in both English and French. Beautiful artwork, lovely to view inside and outside. Less than i hour... More

We stopped here (easy to see and get to from highway) on the way to Charlevoix. Gorgeous church with paintings, mosaics, stained glass windows and sculptures. Definitely worth a peak and there is no entrance fee, but you can give a donation. Do not miss "The Way of the Cross", which is located on the side street to the left... More

This has to be the most impressive cathedral I have seen in Canada. The architecture (close to Gothic style but somehow different) and stonework were superb. Inside, there were stained glass windows, the vaulted ceilings were all decorated as were the floors, and woodwork that looked like it was solid oak. There were a number of private alcoves or chapels... More

Very well spent time looking at this oustanding church. The church and surrounding buildings are well kept.Staff are helpful at the counter. You have to pay parking,so be ready for that, however this gives you free entry into the museum which closes by 5.00pm. Everyone must see this.

The basilica is located about 30 kilometres from Quebec City. As you approach the town, you can see the spires from almost 2 kilometres away. The church itself is quite imposing as it towers over everything else in the town. Once inside the church, the architecture is quite striking as you really notice the size of the building. The stained... More
