The basilica is full of history and magnificent. The cealing is high and full of beautiful mosaics. Must-see visit when you're in Quebec City, just a 30 minute-drive from downtown. Probably one of the prettiest churches in Quebec with a gorgeous fountain.

This Basilica is amazing. The copper doors and detailed tile work found throughout the church are exceptional works of art. I loved seeing the installation of crutches, canes, etc that people left after being healed there.

Although not religious, I really enjoyed this visit. The Basilica itself is a beautiful piece of architecture. The grounds are large with lots to see and explore. I did enjoy a moment of reflection when sitting in one of the pews of this cathedral like building. Take the time to make a 1 hour stop when in or transiting through... More

Very impressive old church (like many in this part of Canada). Located right off Highway 138, it is definitely a must see even if you're just passing through.

Beautiful basilica. Lots of artwork (copper doors, fountain outside, stained glass, mosaics,...). Lot's of different time for Mass in french or english. In front of the basilica, there is camping available for those who would be interested. There are also a lot of different little motels. St-Anne celebration on July 26th. Usually lot's of visitors. We went to celebrate the... More

A few kms from the Montmorency falls, on the way to the Saguenay river, is one of the few attractions which also draws the devout who have a belief that prayers to the mother of Virgin Mary, St Anne, would help them get rid of their infirmities. The twin steeples of the Basilica of St. Anne de Beaupre, which dates... More

European style. Connect you to the heaven. Earlierst church in North-America. Very famous locally in Quebec and in Canada. If you come to Quebec city area and Ste-Anne-De-Beaupre, this should be on your Must-go place.

A stunning Basilica dedicated to the holy grandmother of Jesus, and the mother of His Mother, Mary. The miraculous statue of St. Anne is absolutely gorgeous and many answered prayers of healing have been attested to her intercession by the faithful infirm. The mosaics and artwork of paintings and stained-glass windows filled me with heavenly awe. We were blessed to... More

This is a must see if you are visiting Quebec City and have a day to venture outside the city. It is an easy 30 minute drive and you should include Montmorency Falls and Ile d'Orleans in your trip. The church is one of the most spectacular we have seen, including in our extensive travels in Europe.
