Basilica is a huge building with a number of rooms and many styles of art, which are all keep restored. Church service was just finishing when we arrived, so were able to see both upstairs and downstairs areas. Well worth spending an hour or so.

A truly amazing and beautiful shrine not far from Quebec City. The drive to the shrine is also quite scenic taking you through Montmorency Falls. Well worth the drive.

Pilgrims from far and wide visit this church, its beautiful architecture, the mosaic and the relic of St. Anne is a sight to behold. If you are a Catholic, put this in the top portion of the bucket list! Hear Mass and see the small altars of different Saints set up behind the main Altar. The chapel underneath the Basilica... If you are in the Quebec City area this is a side trip that you should make. It is about 15 minutes from the city and you can also take in Montmorency Falls on the way. The church is less than 100 years old and build in the Gothic style. It is the dominant feature of the landscape and cane... More

This is a spectacularly beautiful basilica, both inside and out. It was built in the 1920s in the Norman Gothic style. It is a Catholic shrine, and Catholics in the hundreds of thousands come each year from around the world to visit it. Many pray for a miraculous healing of some kind and some faithful claim that they have been... More

Fascinating art and architecture - the huge scale of this cathedral means it is visible for miles around. Definitely worth a visit for the workmanship and design, which is surprisingly recent in its execution. The building was started in 1926 at a time when Canada and its people were struggling economically with just the basics of life, and finished just... More

I've been in lots of churches but this is in the top five for sure. Take some time here and be sure to go downstairs. The mosaics, stained glass, copper doors, murals, granite pillars are a testament to the old craftsmen. They are stunning. I think the blue glow of the place created ( I think ) by light reflecting... More

Our half day tour included the Shrine, Montmorency Falls and Albert Gilles Copper Art Museum. We were only an hour at the Shrine, but you should spend more time. There is so much to see, artistic masterpieces and so many people visiting. It is only a 20 minute ride from Quebec City. This is a pilgrimage site with many liturgical... More
