you don't have to be religious to appreciate the history of this church. Not just the building but the grounds and surrounding area are beautiful. There is a life size "stations of the cross" done exceptionally well. All plaques and reading material are in French and English/

Beautiful and life altering! So much to do and such a beautiful basilica. Easily spent the day here. The museum was so interesting and not to be missed. The Holy Stairs were beautiful as well as the Stations of the Cross. We were lucky and it was such a beautiful fall day. Fortunate to be able to celebrate a mass... More

The very impressive Sainte Anne de Beaupre Basilica still draws pilgrims and visitors from all over the world. Reputedly the site of miracle cures, there is a display of discarded crutches and other aids from those who were able to walk again. Visitors can enjoy the spectacular stained glass, mosaics, and Albert Gilles' impressive copper, silver and gold work on... More

It's a beautiful church. The nice interior ceiling reminds me of basilicas in Rome. It's worth stopping by when in your in Quebec City.

I did not know what to expect when we drove to the basilica from Quebec City. What a pleasant surprise. The basilica is very impressive from the outside and more so from the inside. The stained glass windows are beautiful. We did not do a tour but accidentally found our way to the lower basement level which is another chapel... More

Our visit to the basilica was one of the highlights of our trip to Quebec province. I don't think I've been in a church which has been decorated so harmoniously on the inside, and yet with so many different feature, and I have seen quite a number of the great cathedrals and churches of Europe. The mosaics in the chapels,... More

I am not 'of the faith' but we found this cathedral to be very beautiful and awe-inspiring. Would have liked a bit more time to explore but that was not possible. Wonderful nature carvings on the ends of each pew, and mosaics set into the floor.

Beautiful basilica in a small town. My favourite is one of the chapels in the "basement" where the blues in the ceramic tiles are stunningly beautiful and the ambiance is warming. Next to it is the old church (on the side of the hill) with stations of the cross next to it with very well done statues. The museum is... More
