The basilica at st anne is a must see. It is a site to behold. Beautiful. Built by some of the original families to settle in Canada. The workmanship is breathtaking. Some lovely stores and restaurants in the village. People are super friendly.

Could have used more tour time indeed. Absolutely enthralling. This church is a tribute to St. Anne. The grandmother of Jesus. The stained glass and architecture is astonishing.

I'm not sure what I can add here.... my wife suggested we go to this....I wasn't too enthusiastic because I was just being a slug....I've seen probably 20 or more of the world's great cathedrals - Canterbury, Salisbury, Winchester, Wells, Milan, Seville, Cordoba, Notre Dame, many many others.....and have cathedral fatigue. I've also watched an entire Teaching Company course on... More

What a wonderful experience to visit this church especially during the Christmas season. The nativity scene was amazing with life-size animals and people. It was one of the most beautiful churches I've ever seen.

Sainte Anne's was such a beautiful and moving place! It was a wonderful experience and I love how you can walk around all of the church. The only thing I was sad about was that we couldn't go up the front stairs of the church as they weren't plowed and there was no plowed sort of path to the stations... More

Situated about 30 minutes north of Quebec City stands the imposing Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. It's hard to believe that such a magnificent basilica exists outside the confines of Europe. When you come in through the main entrance notice the two pillars filled with racks of crutches and canes. I learned after the fact that these were left by pilgrims who... More

Be prepared to have to constantly keep closing your jaw. This place is massive consisting of 2 floors. The artwork on the ceiling alone will have you staring for a long period of time. The gf and I were lucky to see the various mangers that have been put together over the years.

We had the luxury of a private tour with only 15 people and all the time in the world. Our guide was very experienced AND funny (Marguerite) and gave us tons of background information on what we were looking at. We spent hours at the Basilica and were never bored as our senses were given a real workout! From the... More
