The Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello Lobby Bar is worth a visit just to enjoy the rustic ambience of the worlds largest log castle. The lobby bar is is situated near the huge log fireplace which is the centrepiece for the Chateau with the rooms fanning out from it.

We booked a brunch for a family reunion at The Chateau Monte Bello. There were 50 of us in total. The venue is well laid out and beautifully decorated. It has one of the best brunch selections I've ever seen. Included were various seafood and venison items as well as the typical brunch fare. Tasting the maple beans is a... More

The ambiance is warm, cozy and relaxing whilst sipping your favorite beverage. Plenty of sitting area around the 6 fireplaces in the shape of a polygon. The bar is quite small but elegant. Serves speciality coffees as well as traditional drinks

A group decided to meet for drinks before dinner. Bathe groupings around the huge main fireplace are lovely, but mostly for six to eight people. We needed yo move a bit of furniture as we became larger and larger. The drinks were a LOT cheaper than in the restaurant, so someone suggested buying a drink there to take to dinner---a... More

Spent just a short time in the lobby where the bar is off to the side. What makes it a brilliant spot is the 66ft- 20 meters high 6 sided stone fireplace. Had a quick drink after a long car trip & waited for our room to be ready. A black grand piano is just off to the side of... More

The only thing goods things about the Chateau are the gardens and the location on the river. Yes, the building is interesting but the food is average and expensive. Perhaps the food is over priced to pay for the gardens. The staff were helpful.

I have never seen something this peaceful and beautiful anywhere in Canada. :) From the large spread of food at brunch, to the large fireplace, the little tables around it… I love it and go back as much as I can. It is one of the happiest places I know, at any time of the year.

Parked for just over an hour and was charged $17.25 and there is nowhere else to park. Went there for lunch, but won't be going back with that kind of charge. Classier places have validation, so that if you have stopped for lunch you don't have to pay for parking. Pretentious nonsense.

Knee deep in snow, minus 25 outside, but fabulous big fire inside with a welcome to match. We weren't able to eat in the bar unfortunately, so had to have the restaurant food. Which was a shame. They could really do better. However everyone enjoyed the visit and would go again, having learned from the experience!
