Being part of a convention gave us a special opportunity to see and hear about the area from the mayor and a fisherman's wife, as they showed us the boardwalk, and how the lobster trap nets were woven.

It was a very windy day but seeing and dipping my toe in to the cold Atlantic was well worth it....There are very few shells on this beach except for clams and some crab carcasses. It is something that one has to experience if you go to North Rustico.

Also a great beach. Lots of sand. Some of the best beaches in Canada. Jelly fish are gone in August for the most part, and the water is warm enough to swim.

I'll make a confession here.I love being near the ocean, but I am not a "beach"person. Meaning that I don't like the noisy crowds, greasy food smells, litter and cigarette butts that have come to define many of the public beaches where I live. This is my kind of shore -- wild, untamed, with long stretches of dunes and grasses... More

In the off-season, you can stroll along this beach and hardly see a soul. It's always the same, and yet never the same - the dunes, rocks, cliffs and sea look different every time you walk here. You can watch ospreys hunting for fish, gannets diving, lobster boats at work and shore birds scurrying about. Beach comb for sea glass,... More

Everything our group needed! Kayaks, a quaint walkable town, and one of the best restaurants Blue Mussel Café!

Beach was beautiful and the water was fairly warm. A good place to watch the shore birds. We enjoyed strolling along the beach for an hour or two.

Nice beach, nice town and a nice boardwalk along the bay. An excellent place to spend an afternoon. There are a couple of restaurants at the end of the boardwalk that we didn't visit.
