This beach is free to visit even though it is the same strip of beach as the Cavendish National Park. It is a great solution for those of us who don't want to pay to go to the beach but still want to enjoy the beauty. The day we were there there were a lot of giant jellyfish, but there... More

I find that this beach often has fewer rocks and the sand is better than the larger Cavendish beach. The beach can be accessed from inside the National park or by walking up the boardwalk from the village of North Rustico.

We parked the car.....walked along this beautiful beach, we picked seashells and some rocks. We saw a crane...which not scared....as we were observing it from close proximity.

You know what a beach is. How is this different? It has red cliffs. It has very cold Atlantic water. It isn't super smooth like some beaches. You need to watch where you put your foot down. There are rocks. Beach-combing can be very fruitful.

No one else was about on this beach, beautiful and nice sand. Could walk for hours just beach combing here and watching the lobster boats coming in.

WE visited this beautiful area the the view is amazing and the cliffs are amazing. Not far from Cavendish and easy walking and good hiking down the beach.

North Rustico Beach can be accessed through the National Park or from North Rustico Harbour. During the summer months there is a per-person fee to get into the National Park. After labor day the park is free. There is a parking lot with washrooms and a bathhouse. From there you reach the beach by a path through the dunes. You... More

Close to our cottage we walked it every night and visited for a whole day as well. Lots of room for privacy and sandbars to put your chairs. Protected from the wind on cool days in late August.
