We really enjoyed our time at Avonlea Village. I have a 10 and 12 year old (girls). I would have to say my 10 year old most likely would of stayed all day, where the 12 year old was ready to move on after a few hours. We were there in mid Sept. so less was going on then in... more

I wouldn't recommend this attraction for anyone without kids. Was very family oriented. The live acting and activities were great, but better with kids. Definitely wouldn't have paid the high price for myself and my husband. more

This was the highlight of our trip. Make sure you go early and plan to stay for the day as the players lead you through the story through events and outdoor theatre. Kids loved it and were involved in classes in the schoolhouse and a good old fashioned sports day. more

This place was great, it's not well advertised though and hard to tell it apart from the other Anne attractions. I can't imagine how they could improve on what they have done. We went with two boys 7 and 9 and a 13 year old girl. They all loved it. The costume place was great-- you can try on diferent... more

Recently went to PEI with two 10 year olds ( a boy and a girl) . Avonlea was the favorite place. The interaction of the characters, skits, music, country fair and playing dress up kept the kids entertained the whole day. We expected a couple hours but stayed the whole day. The kids wanted to go back the next day... more

We expected to spend a few hours then go on to other things, but wound up staying the whole day. The authenticity of the village is not well advertised. The buildings are the actual church and Manse that were frequented by LMM, and the musicy was by locally acclaimed folk musicians. The actors/actresses do an excellent job and capture the... more

I had the opportunity to visit Avonlea village in June 2007 and although it rained, my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Avonlea village allowed us to become part of L.M. Montgomery's world shared with Anne and the people of Avonlea. The period costumes, the buildings and their historical significance was breathtaking. PEI has been the only place in my... more

Our Family visited Avonlea in July 2006. What fun we had! So much so we returned for a 2nd day! (2nd Day admission is free). Our 6 & 3 year old had a blast. The characters of 'Ann of Green Gables' were great and it was so nice that they remembered our children's names throughout the day. I highly recommend... more

I spent a full day at Avonlea Village with my 5 year old daughter and it was a wonderful day. The actors are amazing and remembered all the kids that they ran into after meeting them once. The "village" is extremely well kept and very in keeping with the theme. You get to dress up for free (charged at other... more

We visited Avonlea Village on a whim. We didn't really want to go because we thought it would be too commercialized. Boy were we wrong! They held true to the books and the re-enactments were fabulous. The music was authentic, lively and fun. Don't miss the end of day temperance meeting. It was the highlight of our trip. Our 15... more
