My family flew to Maine from Alabama and drove to Prince Edward Island all because my daughter wanted to see "Green Gables". Avonlea Village was the highlight of the trip. My 2 girls had a blast. There were actors all over the village in character, parts of the story acted out all day long in different parts of the town,... More

Absolutely loved it, it was really fun visiting Avonlea it was cute, lots to look at and do. We loved the little skits they put on and the games they had for adults and children to play.

What a cute place - feels like you stepped back in time! The church is a beautiful work of architecture and it's a great stop on a nice clear day.

My daughter and I went to Avonlea Village and really enjoyed ourselves. The activities and little shows are what make it special. Anne of Green Gables Characters walk about and even do little plays, a concert, outdoor games and a spelling bee in the school house. We tried on the dress up clothes and listened to an Acadian Musical Concert.... More

It was quaint but nothing special. We stopped by for a visit late afternoon on a day trip through PEI. I guess things were closing up since we didn’t have to pay entry fee. Also, there were very few cars (4 including ours) and people. We were told we could walk through the tiny village but we couldn’t go into... More

As we travelled in September a number of attractions were closing as was this one, however, admission was free, there were very people touring, but the sight was interesting to tour about. The gift shop was open

We went to Avonlea by accident, we were looking for Green Gables. We were pleasantly surprised and toured the cute little village. They had Cow's ice cream and entertainment. It was nice to see characters from the books walking about and if you arrive early you can see them set up the school house and different areas. We did play... More

So, it's rather expensive to get in here, especially for a family. However, if you are an Anne fan, you do not want to miss this experience. I was so surprised to see Anne and Diana walking down the street holding hands and to have Gilbert and Moody drop in when I was shopping. It's super fun, really nice interactive... More

This is a village built to look like the fictional village Avonlea might have been. If you have read the "Anne of Green Gables" books, you can imagine the characters here. We had only adults in our group, and while we enjoyed it, children might have liked it more. We thought it was a little too expensive.

LOVE the dress-up house, as well as church with live music. We saw Mike Pendergast. Individual buildings have their history provided, some including pictures from where they were taken apart to move to Avonlea Village & how they were reassembled.
