We stopped in after 5 as it is free to walk the grounds from 5-7 and really enjoyed being able to check it out before paying full price for our very young family of 6. We all enjoyed it a lot and will bring the kids back when they are a bit older to enjoy it during the day when... More

My original visit was 3 years ago. Yes, it's expensive if you don't plan on committing most of the day then it may not be worth it. It's the actors & skits that tell the Anne of Green gables story that really makes it worthwhile. It follows a schedule from Anne's original arrival at the train station till the end... More

Why pay an admission to shop and eat? Not really a lot to see. I don't think Anne would be happy with Avonlea 2014

It's quite good value if you do the full day (10:30 - 4:30) and all the activities. Our kids (7 and 9) loved it and really got into the 19th-century village setting. (If you're familiar with Black Creek Pioneer Village in Toronto, this is comparable.) Best part: the band (fiddle, bass, drums, piano, good singing), which performed songs in the... More

We spent 4 hours at Avonlea Village with 2 kids and it was just ok for the cost of entry. We really enjoyed the actors in character, the pig races and the final show. Also, the Cows ice cream.

We decided to go to Avonlea since my daughter couldn't wait to meet Anne. At first I thought the price of admission was pricey but after our first day we all thought it was well worth it (even if the second day free wasn't included). We went after lunch but next time I will make sure we are there for... More

We had a very pleasant afternoon on the buggy ride and exploring the village. We even had the opportunity to dress up as Anne

As to quote my kids they had an awesome time!! My childhood dreams come true! I loved Anne stories as a girl and had tried to get my boys interested before our visit to PEI. On arriving at Avonlea we met Anne sitting at the station and had a chat followed by Diana, Gilbert and Moody:) The day was filled... More

The price initially had us wondering if we really wanted to do this, since it was our daughter who really likes Anne of Green Gables. But the family price of $70, did save us $10 for our family of 4, and though pricey we had a very enjoyable time (admission good for 2 days.. our kids 11 and 15). You... More

I was disappointed with Avonlea Village. For the admission price ($20 per person) I was expecting more things to do. It seemed that 50% of the buildings were shops! If you have young children with you, then there are some fun things to do (sandcastle building, dress up, three legged races and other picnic games, farm animals) but I didn't... More
