A little over done but the tourists like it. Not the real birth place of LMM but they claim it is. Worth a look if you are on the Island.

Green Gables was one of three reasons that I wanted to visit Canada & I wasn't let down. I had a huge smile on my face the instant we arrived. There is only a nominal charge to enter the house which is beautiful, the rooms are set out as they would have been & it was so lovely to see... More

One of my favorite stories off all time is what brought me to PEI and this was an awesome visit. The house was right out of the pages and there were pretty walking trails all around it to venture on. They actually have raspberry cordial soda and the gift shop was nice - picked up a few things. :-)

Linked so intricately with the Anne of Green Gables stories, this attraction will be MUCH more meaningful to those familiar with the stories. Bring your books and stamp them with the official Green Gables ink stamp! The ladies enjoyment came from the glee of living 'Anne.' The gentlemen's glee came from watching fifty-something-year-old women have the joy and wonder of... More

We went to Green Gables as a family and it was quite interesting. The house is set up as described in the books and very well kept and preserved. The surroundings are beautiful and there is a barn and a small snack bar where you can buy Raspberry Cordial. The gift shop is also very nice. A good place to... More

You almost feel that Anne & friends were real. Nicely done house and especially the grounds. Some nice short hikes are really peaceful even when the tour busses are in. Large gift shop. Nice, friendly, and helpful staff.

We visited on a beautiful October day, offseason and at a time when there were no crowds. I allowed for a peaceful visit to view the house and buildings that represented the setting for the Anna of the Green Gables novels. If you are not familiar with the novels or the movie it is still a nice place to visit.... More

Having read all of the Anne books, as well as many others by L.M. Montgomery, I was thrilled to be able to visit this site, which was the inspiration for the fictional Green Gables in the books. This is tastefully done, not at all touristy, which I appreciated very much. The Haunted Woods and Lover's Lane walks are lovely, and... More

I had neither read the book nor seen the film, so I had no preconceived ideas! The barn exhibits provided some excellent background on the early farm life at Green Gables. The house has been set out to reflect how Anne and her guardians would have lived. Yes, there is no signage in the rooms, but my guide (my bride... More
