You read the book, see the home that inspired the story! We had the best time with an entire group of Japanese travelers!

Green Gables is of course an essential stop on PEI if you're a fan. We had a wonderful time touring the site, which was just lucky as it turns out. This is more a word of advice for those who don't live in Canada. PEI more or less shuts down from November to late May. We did not realise this,... More

PEI is truly a beautiful, magical place! And anyone who visits must stop in to see the place where the timeless classic "Anne of Green Gables" was envisioned and written. Visit the author's old farmhouse, walk through the haunted wood, visit the tomb of L.M. Montgomery herself. And of course stop in the little lunch house for some raspberry cordial!

Green gables is very quaint, back yard of the green gables bungalow court....many items on display will take you back in time if you are an older person, also good for the younger to visualize, what the life style of their grandparents was in days gone by...a very simple life ..a sure place to visit....The staff are very imformative . We went with family to PEI for the weekend. Loved seeing Green Gables! We didn't spend that long here, we watched a video, then went outside browsed the house and the gardens, and then the gift shop. We were here in the off-peak season, the first week of September, so it was quiet.

If you are a fan of Lucy Maud Montgomery's classic series Anne of Green Gables, this is a must-see for any visit to Prince Edward Island. While some of the historic charm has been lost due to modern intrusions (namely a modern golf-course that bisects the property), it is still well worth the price of admission to visit one of... A little over done but the tourists like it. Not the real birth place of LMM but they claim it is. Worth a look if you are on the Island.

Green Gables was one of three reasons that I wanted to visit Canada & I wasn't let down. I had a huge smile on my face the instant we arrived. There is only a nominal charge to enter the house which is beautiful, the rooms are set out as they would have been & it was so lovely to see... More

One of my favorite stories off all time is what brought me to PEI and this was an awesome visit. The house was right out of the pages and there were pretty walking trails all around it to venture on. They actually have raspberry cordial soda and the gift shop was nice - picked up a few things. :-)
