I was so excited to make our trip to Prince Edward Island. I am a big fan of the Anne of Green Gables books and movies. The Green Gables is inside the National Park. There was a small fee of $6.50 per person when we visited. You get to explore the grounds, house, and barn. We were there off season... More

Fun visit to see Greene gables, take a walk, enjoy the grounds. We were there on a day the weather was beautiful. My kids, and other children, played outside games with Anne and her friends. Ring around the Rosie, tag, duck, duck, goose. The young kids loved it, then Anne and friends served drinks in the grass where they played.... More

It is a little strange exploring a real farm house that presents fictional characters who never lived there, but the site does a good job. If you have read Montgomery's books or just seen a few of the TV shows or (like me) just had girlfriends who loved the character, you will come away with insights into the literary world... More

We were one of the first visitors of the 2012 season as it just opened on April1. Good example of late 19thC farmhouse with lots of artifacts typical of the period.Rooms were decorated to match the descriptions in Lucy M.Montgomery's books so should delight "Anne" fans. Barns served as info about the time and the area re: fishing & farming.... More

I was here June 13, 2011. It was our first trip to the east coast (for a business convention in New Brunswick) and my husband knew that taking a couple extra days to see PEI & Green Gables, would make my childhood heart FULL... I was able to look around the first barn, see the house and then I was... More

Green gables is the place that Lucy Maud Montgomery got her inspiration to write about. On the grounds are large pictures of her friends that also were the inspiration for her characters in the books, a nice quiet day but pack food. More

A farm where an author stayed is one thing - and it's a fun place to visit - but Anne didn't live there - BECAUSE ANNE DIDN'T EXIST!! More
