It was nice to visit the house which inspired and represents Anne of Green Gables. We took a short stroll down the walking paths: Lover's Lane and Haunted Wood, but there wasn't much to see. We didn't spend a lot of time here (less than two hours), but we enjoyed walking the grounds. Unfortunately, Anne wasn't around the morning we... More

I love different era farms. The difference of coarse is author L.M. Montgomery. She is a great author which has past the test of time! Her books still being read and enjoyed. Thus I enjoyed being on location.

I wouldn't be a fan of the books or show but went with my wife to take pictures for our friend who would not be able to make the trip. We were expecting it to be full on a warm midday but it was not all that bad. You can visit the house and surrounding woods and for a little... More

Unless you are a great admirer of the books, there is no point in paying the entrance fee. The house is nice, but not any different from any other restoration from that time. Paying 30CAD to walk a trail in the woods or see a place where a house used to stand at... well that is too much in my... More

A business trip brought me out to PEI, and my wife wanted to come along and extend our stay with a view to visiting Cavendish and Anne of Green Gables. The day we drove to Cavendish from Charlottetown was a perfect sunny and warm day. The grounds of Anne of Green Gables were beautiful. The price for admission was reasonable.... More

Loved the attraction because it brought the book to life. If you didn't read the book or see the movie, the "wow" affect is not there.

Excellent gift shop. Events for the children eg: how to dye wool. Vendors and employees are so friendly it is like spending an hour or two with relatives. We did not get into the house and sorry we did not. Do visit.

After visiting this place is completely understandable how L.M. Montgomery felt inspired to write such beutiful stories. The place is breathtaking and the house is nicely reconstructed. You can go for a few walks around that are really worth it. Price is fair. Relly worth to go!

After raising my daughter on Anne of Green Gables stories (and movies), it was a thrill to see the family home that inspired the author to write the books. I was happy that another tourist pointed out Anne's puffed sleeve dress (replica!) and Marilla's special brooch on her dresser. The grounds were nicely manicured, and we especially enjoyed the walk... More
