The promenade is along the Welland Canal on West St. (an historic district) where you can watch ships from all over the world. There are benches if you tire of walking or just want to sit. There are several shops, services & even a spa along the promenade. It's a nice area to walk a dog (please pick up afterward... More

I was raised in Port as we refer to it, if you are searching for a unique place then it depends on which part of the world you were born in. If you are from the wheat fields of the west ,then it is unique, but if you are from Montreal, Vancouver or Chicago then no, it is not

The Tallboat festival in August was very charming. The town comes alive with the canal day festivities, the flea market etc. Do walk through the town as well, and experience the streetart in alleyways.

Great little town that made me feel like I was in nova Scotia not Niagara. There were 2 ships tied up 2 fishing trawlers and a coast guard vessel as well. Loved the shops and you have to stop into the canalside restaurant for lunch

The Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival is Port Colborne's signature event and the Promenade is one of the locations where fun can be had with festival food, cruises & shopping. Other Festival locations are HH Knoll Lakeview Park, the Seaway Park children’s area, the Port Colborne Marine Museum, the Roselawn Centre and the Market Square to name a few. We've... More

Love to sit here and while away the afternoon reading a book ... and shopping at The Crew'S Quarter. NO GARBAGE PAILS to be found so be prepared to take your coffee cup with you back to the car.

This is a great place to watch the ships go through the Welland Canal. There are quaint little shops to visit and great little restaurants and ice cream shops.

Winter or summer, spring or fall, a great place to sit and watch the canal and the ships ... it would be nice if they had garbage containers though as we had to carry our coffee cups around as none to be found.

Beautiful walking along the old port. Watch the lift bridges in operation as you sip on a beverage or eat at one of the outside cafes. Great place for a family stroll.

Lovely walking along this promenade and checking out the cute different shops and places to eat was awesome! We stayed at the Talwood Manor B&B right in Port Colborne. 5* B&B, absolutely fantastic! Food, Accommodations, Location amazing! Check out the Talwood Manor B&B reasonably priced, great breakfast, lovely owner Judith, warm and welcoming. Felt like we were good friends.
