We've been going to the Highlands Cinemas in Kinmount for years and not just because it's the only movie theatre in the area. It takes us over an hour to drive there from our cottage, but it's always worth the trip. The theatres are small but they have all the latest equipment and the collection of movie posters, projectors, and... More

We rent a cottage on Pigeon Lake every summer with our families and every year we come back to Highland Cinemas. It's become a tradition because although it's a bit of a trek for us, it's completely worth it and we can't imagine missing it! We've managed to get some of the older crowd out who loved it just as... More

This old theatre continues to be a local highlight. Seasonal only, it is summer fun as it should be.

This movie house is quirky with a difference. It is 1/2 museem and 1/2 moview theatre. I like it in that the costs are reasonable, has many choices and is easy to get to. The only think I didn't like was since you line up outside, when it is buggy you know it.

There is nothing, in all my travels, that comes close to this cinema theatre for its total "coolness", exceptional value and all this while featuring first run Box Office hits. The actual theatres are all different in size and shape plus you can spoend a bunch of time just wandering the museum and its many moviela memorabilia. It will bring... More

Very unusual cinema. I applaud the owner for putting together a really rare treat for our entertainment. The owner takes us back in time with his beautiful look down memory lane with his cinema antiques. Saw movie Marigold Hotel this time out. Ecellent movie since we had been in Jaipur.

We enjoy this theatre and bring friends with us. The venue is unique and interesting with the many collections of memorabilia that most have never had the privilege or opportunity to see. The movies presented may not always be current but are almost secondary to the venue.

It's hard to really convey how fantastic this spot is. The owner is a genuine movie fan who bought up seats, posters, fixtures, projectors and more as small-town theatres all over North America went out of business. He brought them back to teeny tiny Kinmount to line the halls that connect multiple themed theatres. So for the price of a... More

Great atmosphere and the price is right. I could go to this theatre and enjoy an hour or two with popcorn and not actually see a movie.
