On a last minute Internet search for a park close by we came across Rotary Park in Ajax. It was only a 30 minute drive from our place and it was great! This park is right on the edge of Lake Ontario and has walking and biking trails, a fab playground and splash pad for the kids, tons of green... More

We love this park for its long lake paths, which are mostly paved except to the far west side past the board walk. The splash pad is great for kids and the playgrounds are fairly large. Snack bar and washrooms present. Only caution is stay away early spring when the flies are out in swarms! You can't even walk without... More

I love Ajax waterfront. It offers a waterpark and playground for kids and biking trails for miles Wonderful place to take a long walk in nature. Great view of the lake. Picnic tables and trees for shade make this a great weekend retreat from the hustle and bustle of life.

We often drive down to the lake and go for long walks along the shore line. It is very pleasant to sit on one of the many seats in the good weather. The children love the large playground. It is also good for BBQ's. Often see groups of people enjoying the park for a picnic. It is always kept nice... More

Large playground but very busy. Concessions stand prices a bit high. Small water park to beat the heat. Lake access and trail through the park. Parking hard to find on weekends.

One of the last and best waterfront areas in Ontario. Beach access possible but not recommended from within Rotary park. Accessible walkways and paths, open free playing fields of lush green, covered and uncovered picnic areas, beautiful vistas of Lake Ontario and distant Toronto skyline, arts exhibits from local artists including a permanent 30ft tall steel sculpture called "The Storm",...
