This is the best place to stop when driving between Halifax and Moncton. You can pick up a snack, lunch, fresh veggies and baked goods in the market, a gift in the gift shop, fish and chips from the 'boat' outside or fresh fish in the lighthouse. There are kennels so your dogs can take a break from the car... More

We stopped here today for lunch, and instead of fish & chips,we had the 1 piece Haddock & Lobster Potatoe salad. The fish tasted fresh, and the salad was very good. There was lots of chunks of fresh local lobster in the salad, and this along with the one piece fish was very filling. If you order the 2 piece fish, you'll need to be really hungry... The market has gifts, groceries and an extensive cafe. Attached is a wonderful fish stand. Certainly worth a stop for a break enroute to Halifax.

We stopped by for lunch and had the chili. It was good but really tame for my liking. I had to add a tablespoon of chili flakes to get a proper bite! The market has become quite a popular spot to stop, stretch and browse so it's always bustling with people. The owners are very nice people too.

Love the boat that has been turned into a Fish and Chip stand!! The best I have ever had!! Lots of food and well priced. Homemade chips and hand battered fish! The market is great too! Great shop - lots of unique items! Great produce! One stop shopping! The cafeteria is ok - very basic!

First time I went only got a minor glimpse. Now, a couple times later, I can't get enough of the place! Haven't even checked out the fish market yet! The place holds a little something for everyone, at least in my humble opinion. You gotta go for a visit, its worth it!

What a place to visit! Just off the highway about 20 minutes outside Truro, Nova Scotia it is a 'must stop' on your journey. A beehive of activity offering gift shop, greenhouse plants and garden items, deli, grocery store, restaurant with great soups and sandwiches, bakery and more. There is a lighthouse on site and although 'out of place' since... More
