I was wary of stopping at this place (assumed it was a tourist trap) but we had been driving so long that I gave in. And am I EVER glad I did! This was a wonderful welcoming experience into Nova Scotia. There is so much to do here if you're with the family. We bought fresh wild blueberries from the... More

This place is certainly a gem. Delicious baked goods, Deli has homemade sandwiches, wraps, salads, Chilli, seafood chowder and the must try seafood pie! The new fish and chip boat and deck serve up the most delicious haddock and the deck is gorgeous on a sunny day. The Market also boasts a great gift shop with a large variety of... More

If you want fresh fish this is the place. Very good quantity and quality. Its called Catch of the Bay. It offers all your favorites of the sea. For example a one piece fish and chips has a whole haddock fillet in gluten free batter, lots fries, homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce. Prices are very reasonable.

The place is always and for good reason. Stopped here for a bite to eat on our way to Halifax, it's a great spot for a break. It's a great little Market ... Bakery/Deli/Grocery/Ice Cream Bar/Souvenir/Liquor/Restaurant all rolled up into one. We both enjoyed a sandwich with soup and chili. We also stopped on our way back. Great job Masstown... More

We found this to be a decent "One Stop" shopping place. We were looking forward to this place after checking out their site and the Trip Advisor ratings. The prices were a little high, and the food generally average, but we would return for two things: Their ice cream was delicious. My husband also ordered a pumpkin milkshake, and he... More

Worth the wait as you know it has not been pre-fried, as is the case in most restaurants. They give you a lobster-shaped pager which alerts you when your order is ready. Excellent, hot and fresh and crisp. We had the apple fritters too, which were excellent. My only disappointment was after getting our order with wooden forks and cardboard... More

Great break spot when driving to or from Halifax, NS. They offer a super lunch menu, hot or cold, all fresh. Their grocery store have fresh local suppliers and their prices are very good. The bakery has some very good offerings but we are not fans of the breads as they dry out fast. If you want seafood they also... More

Thank you for your visit and for taking the time to write a review. Our white bread "dries out fast" because it is lacking preservatives and like home made bread, it is best eaten fresh from the oven. Keep sealed tightly and it will stay fresh a few days. Our dairy bar is a popular spot all year round...have you... More
