We found this to be a decent "One Stop" shopping place. We were looking forward to this place after checking out their site and the Trip Advisor ratings. The prices were a little high, and the food generally average, but we would return for two things: Their ice cream was delicious. My husband also ordered a pumpkin milkshake, and he... More

Worth the wait as you know it has not been pre-fried, as is the case in most restaurants. They give you a lobster-shaped pager which alerts you when your order is ready. Excellent, hot and fresh and crisp. We had the apple fritters too, which were excellent. My only disappointment was after getting our order with wooden forks and cardboard... More

Great break spot when driving to or from Halifax, NS. They offer a super lunch menu, hot or cold, all fresh. Their grocery store have fresh local suppliers and their prices are very good. The bakery has some very good offerings but we are not fans of the breads as they dry out fast. If you want seafood they also... More

I read about this delight on the Local Traveller's blog and was ridiculously excited to see they offer a comprehensive and conscientious gf selection! My sister and I have been planning on going since that article came out and we were excited to make it on their last day open for the season. First of all, the price of the... More

Our family had a beautiful fish and chips lunch at Catch of the Bay today. We had scallops, shrimp, and haddock with chips and lobster potato salad. We were appreciative of the many gluten-free menu items due to our allergies. The fish is freshly made to order and portion sizes are very generous. Highly recommend this as a destination to... My wife and I made a short detour to finally get to Masstown Market for lunch and to look around. Coming from a fishing town and eating fresh fish my entire life, I have pretty high standards when it comes to ordering seafood from a restaurant. This was one of the best fish and chips I have ever had. The... More

Masstown Market is approx. an hour from Halifax & a great place to spend an afternoon, especially in the fall when they lots of local produce & pumpkins galore! The donuts are a highlight for kids & the crafts & home decor is great eye candy!

This is not an attraction, unless you are attracted by an overpriced grocery store, outdoor seafood restaurant and seafood market, and variety of smaller eating areas within the larger super store. We enjoyed an early dinner of seafood chowder and a roast beef sandwich with simple side salad, but not enough to return or to recommend anyone going out of... More

Masstown market is great place to shop. Here are the reasons I like it: ONE STOP SHOPPING - local foods including produce, meat, seafood and dairy products BAKED GOODS - fresh made bread, buns, scones, donuts, and other sweets. All made on location. RESTAURANTS - Great home cooking indoors year round. Seafood on the lighthouse platform during warmer weather SEASONAL... More
