Great variety of locally designed pewter products - many are maritime inspired. Watch Craftspersons on site display their skills as they make pewter objects; great educational for all ages , also good diversion for the kids as the adults shop ..

Wonderful shop. All items made right there on the premises. You can actually watch the workers making the items they sell right in front of you. Beautiful items. Great place to buy gifts.

This store has been making pewter items for many years and the variety of products offered is now very wide. The craftsmanship and quality are excellent. The back part of the store has a small shop in it and you can view the process by which the items are made. There is also a small display about the history of... More

We almost missed Mahone Bay. Pretty little village with some nice shops. Amos Pewter has to one of the best. Fine workmanship and very friendly staff. Enjoyed watching some of the folks making pewter items. Finished our gift shopping here.

Each year since 1988 we have purchased the Traditional Christmas Ornament. So many other things to buy, including napkin rings, photo frames and more. Many great gift ideas.

The best part of Amos Pewter is the back of the shop where you can watch folks actually making the pewter. The staff did a great job demonstrating the process and answering questions. They are willing to engage with visitors and show them how awesome their craft truly is. The shop, itself, offers many varieties of pewter goods and you... More

I just leaned about the mixture of elements to one general name "Pewter" at my visit to Amos shop. I had the free tour of how to make the pewter art and a quick lesson in physics about elements. Important note: Amos Pewter do not mix Lead in their product, but be aware that others may do that and if... More

I went in to learn about the art of working with pewter. There are on-going visits. It is a small place but well organized. There is always a person working behind the glass that can explain all the steps needed. Also lots of interpretive panels illustrating the history, uses and the process for working with pewter. You can buy pieces... More

This is not just a gift shop! I discovered that I could actually learn how the pewter pieces are made by watching the staff and asking questions. I even tried polishing my own pewter sand dollar! My family enjoyed the visit as well - the kids especially liked watching the liquid pewter harden in mere seconds and then melt into... More
