Single Malt Whiskey is not my thing, but I enjoyed the tour and even the sample at the end. The displays were interesting and informative, the tour guide knowledgeable, the grounds beautiful. Well worth a couple hours.

This is another great stop Ceilidh trail in Cape Breton. There is a breathtaking view of the Inn and Distillary with a mountain of gorgous foliege in the background. We stopped in to the loung to sample (not free) their brand of scotch. The ladies shared a dessert while we listended to live Gaelic music. The quinoa cake was decedent.... More

The Glenora Distillery is worth a stop is you're in the area - it's a short tour (about 30 minutes) and you get a taste of the product at the end. I'm not a scotch drinker, so I don't have much basis for comparison of quality of the whiskey, but I thought it was smoother than some others I have... More

We stopped at the Distillery to sample a single malt whiskey after hiking areas in the Cabot Trail. While we were casually dressed, we didn't believe we would feel out of place in our attire. The bar area was empty (two men at the bar and one couple at a table). We sat ourselves at the bar and were not... More

We decided to forgo the distillery tour and just have a single malt at the pub. The whiskey was great but felt the bartender didn't want to be bothered by us even thought we were the only in the bar as it was 4 PM. We came back and ate at the restaurant which we were told that it had... More

This place is very beautiful and well laid out. We got there around 10 and the first tour was 11 so we had breakfast at the restaurant. The food was good and they were quick. The gentleman started our tour and he was very entertaining. Told us all about how and when the scotch was made. Not in the summer... More

The Glenora Inn and Distillery offers a tour of the distillery and a single malt whisky tasting. They don't produce whisky during the summer months because of the heat from the production process but you can see the great vats and still. You have an opportunity to taste their 10 year old single malt whisky but none of the older... More

The food is good here, and we heard some good music one evening (and better music when we went there a second time). The crowd is a bit older and stuffier than the people at the Red Shoe, with less toe tapping and clapping, and the menu is also a bit stuffier and pricier. So, it depends on what you... More

The tour was interesting, but very short and worth the fee only for the small whisky tasting at the end. The grounds are lovely. We had a 7:30 dinner reservation, but the tour was over so quickly we had a lot of time to kill, and couldn't get seated early, even though there were many empty tables in restaurant. Food... More

The scenery and the setting of the distillery itself are beautiful. They offer a wide range of whisky product and five of these are offered through the flight. We enjoyed the experience but we did not leave with any product.
