Yes we saw whales, not many but 2 sightings. The voyage was more than whales, it included history of the area, views of the coast and the smells of the sea. Worth the time - yes yes.

The views of French Mountain from the Gulf of St. Lawrence were spectacular ! We did see a seal, and a few Minke whales. Frank gave us a great summary of the different types of whales and the topography of the region. Dan the boat's pilot was friendly and encouraged us to have our picture taken piloting the boat. No need... More

We had an amazing time! We saw so many whales couldn't count them. They were very close to the boat. The guide was informative and a lot of fun. Well worth the money.

Most were some distance away, but a few came right by the boat. I got some good photos. I'm sure that some other places have better whale watching, but the cruise was as advertised, at a fair price, and you are pretty much guaranteed to see some whales. The trip took 2.5 hours. They have a bathroom, and sell water... More

Captain John was patient and determined to find whales ... We saw several Minke whales and about six large Fin whales! Overall, excellent trip ... Well worth the money! Guide was informative about the local history ... And as other reviews mentioned, the Captain let a little boy drive the boat. ... Very cool!

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We saw lots of whales, a seal, dolphins and bald eagle and the guide and captain were great. Captain encouraged guests to take a turn at steering the boat which was fun for our son.

We arrived in Cheticamp around Noon on Saturday with the intent of taking an afternoon whale watching tour. It rained all day Saturday so we went out on the 9AM Sunday tour. There were only 7 other people, so everyone could stand on one side of the boat without crowding. It took Capt. Daniel about an hour and a half... More

We decided to take this tour on our last day in Cape Breton (July 17th). The Captain was a delightful man and the guide was also very friendly. We enjoyed the cruise and saw seals, a Bald Eagle and the scenery was spectacular. The highlight of course was the pod of Pilot Whales we saw! It was amazing, especially the... More

On a recent tour of the Cabot Trail, my wife and I stopped in Cheticamp. Whale watching was high on our agenda, and so one of the first things we did was arrange a tour. Our boat left at 9, and when we arrived we were pleased to see only one other couple on the dock waiting to go. I'm... More
