ALERT!!! This company has closed down. They are no longer providing trail rides.
The website link is to my business in Ontario. I have rocking horses, and they don’t do well on trails. 😉

This farm/ranch was an inspiring visit. The animals here are all rescues. During an individual tour, I met a llama, goat, crows, chickens, dogs, cats, geese and rabbits. Of course, I also met all the horses saved from slaughter houses In the USA. Some of the horses were beautiful, healthy creatures that had been abandoned by their legitimate owners. They were put up for auction at a site in New Jersey. Since the US government has outlawed the slaughter of horses, they bring truckloads to Canada to be killed for their meat which is shipped to Europe for human consumption. The drivers often contact Kicking Horse Ranch for help. And mostly they take as many horses as they can. Hopefully, these can be rehabilitated and rehomed. But if not, they live out their lives in a comfortable and loving environment. God Bless the caregivers!!

The staff believe in the sanctity of life and the sweet voiceless souls they care for matter. I was so impressed.

Had a wonderful tour today of this amazing facility. A true country ranch. The drive there was equally beautiful seeing the countryside. Only about 15 min from the main highway and 2 nibs from the badder falls. What great work they do with these amazing animals. We loved feeding the Emu and fell in love with the horses. You can tell they really care about all the creatures including the barn squirrel Harry! Every single animal has a story. I hope we come back to this area again as we would love to spend more time here. God bless Rocking Horse Ranch for everything you do.

My husband and I stopped at the ranch after a morning of kayaking and were greeted by friendly dogs, goats, and a donkey. There were chickens, ducks, including a duck and her 2 ducklings, rabbits, an emu, a couple ponies, and lots of horses. We hung out with the animals that were in the pens closest to the house until Dale and her helper came back from getting hay for the horses (just to be on the safe side). Once they had unloaded the hay, they gave us a tour, introducing us to all the animals and telling us a bit about them. They were all so sweet. My favorite was the 35 year old pony! I would definitely go back here again. Only thing I would recommend is bringing hand wipes for after petting all the animals!

I made a reservation via e-mail with the owner a month in advance of our visit. I followed up via email in the week leading up to our visit and all was booked and ready to go. On the day of our visit we arrived 15 minutes early to find that the barn was empty (of people) but full of animals. Horses, Dogs, Chickens, etc. We walked around the barn and hung around for 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment. After 45 minutes of waiting we decided to leave. I emailed the owner that day and the following week to ask what had happened and to let her know we had been there and no one showed up, but she never did get back to me. I was very disappointed as we had heard very good things about this ranch.
