The museum is nicely done and it gives a good perspective on the life of AGB. About 2 hours maximum should cover it. Great option for a rainy day. more

We had no idea before this trip of all of Alec Bell's innovative ideas ranging from boats, flight, medical and of course the phone. There is a full sized model of a boat that at the time was the fastest boat in the world. The staff were very helpful and friendly, providing advice beyond the Bell museum but to the... more

This national historic site was easy to find. It has some interesting information on Alexander Graham Bell and some of his original drawings and models. We spent about an hour here. Unless you have a big interest in his inventions, I can't imagine spending more than 2 hours here. There are some nice views from the grounds of this museum. more

As the other reviewers said - there was much more to Alexander Graham Bell than the telephone. You just got to go see this museum if you have a chance. You won't be disappointed! more

We spent 3 nights in Cape Breton. On our day between Ingonish and Louisbourg, we stopped in Baddeck to see this museum. It was a nicely done place, and was informative. But it did not "wow" me in any way. If you're very interested in Bell, a fascinating fellow, this museum has everything you could want. But for a casual... more

The museum was a good size; not to small or to large. It was very informative particularly to learn how Alexander Graham Bell had many more interests and accomplishments than just related to the telephone invention. I would recommend it to anyone in the area. more

I loved this museum. It was clearly laid out and accessible with a great mixture of hands on activities, videos, artefacts and photos. AG Bell was a fascinating character - a real life long learner who never gave up his search for new ideas and new ways to solve problems. The telephone was a by product of this, and look... more

Fascinating history of the man that did so much more than the phone. He considers himself not an inventor but a teacher of the deaf. The displays of his Hydrofoil boats are very interesting. I can only imagine what the farmers near Baddeck must have thought when seeing his wild inventions fly across Lake Bras Dors. more
