I wandered all across Nova Scotia online planning my May 2010 trip, but found myself always circling the Nova Shores website and their B&B/kayaking tours in Advocate Harbour. And so I went, and stayed, and had a wonderful time. The B&B accommodations are spacious -- a private entrance and cozy living room downstairs overlooking a lupine-lined gravel driveway and wild... Thanks for the review! Just a note that the B&B mentioned has closed since this guests stay as we have decided that it was best too concentrate on offering the best kayaking adventures possible. We felt the B&B took us away from what we love to do, which is share one of the most spectacular sea kayaking destinations in North... More

Being real outdoorsy types that really look for special things to do in unique locations on our holidays we tried a number of adventures in Nova Scotia. NovaShores Adventures Fundy location turned out to be incredible, exactlyy what we were looking for and one of the best adventures we have had anywhere in our travels. The scenery was stunning, Werner... More

NovaShores Adventures provided everything we needed to have an experience of a lifetime kayaking in the Bay of Fundy. The owners and their guide were wonderful, warm and very knowledgeable. Lunch was included in the price of the trip and was very tasty but wasn't as substantial as we would have liked..... BUT their beer bread was the BEST bread... More

Thanks for the positive review, glad you had a good time with us. It seems that you thought we would have a more substantial meal - sorry that we disappointed you in that regard. To avoid such disappointments for future guests, this is our perception on this issue: Over the past 12 years we have evolved our menu to the... More

There are two locations for Nova Shores - one on the Fundy Bay and one on the Atlantic side in a town called East Dover near Peggy's Cove. We went to the Atlantic one. It was definitely worth every penny! It was a half-day outing, though I think they had full-day options as well. You need to dress for the... More

We were a group of 6, traveling from the Halifax area. The sights were amazing, and the guides were informative and entertaining (Thanks Anna!) some of our companions have done this trip before and one has done it again since. More

Great your group had a fun time on our Fundy Explorer tour. It is a long drive (3 hours) for Halifax residents, but well worth it for those looking for something unique - which paddling the highest tides on earth amongst towering sea stacks certainly is! Anne plans on returning as a lead guide with us again next year, after... More

Very good trip with knowledgeable Guide and his wife does the pre-event set-up and is very helpful. Great for outdoorsy, adventuresome types. Allow extra time in case some in the group are late or if they have flooding along the way to do the put-in of the kayaks. Vegetarian meal provided is very nice and occurs half-way thru the kayaking. Glad you enjoyed. The flooding of the road did eventually subside. We are hoping that the department responsible for roads in this province takes care of the issue and we don't experience that again. It certainly made for a difficult season trying to deal with that issue. We appreciate the understanding from our guests that experienced the flooded road conditions.... More

We debated whether to simply rent kayaks and head out on our own or do the guided tours with Novashores. While we are experienced kayakers, we have little experience with ocean kayaking so we chose the latter, and were very happy that we did. We took a 3 hour tour from the East Dover location, which was easy to find... More

I thoroughly enjoyed the Fundy Explorer kayaking tour that I toke with NovaShore Adventures. It was an awesome trip that went along the shoreline and in and around various rock formations including the "Three Sisters". We stopped along the way and enjoyed an excellent lunch and hot drinks that were prepared for us by our guides as well. We were... More

My husband, 2 teenage boys and myself went on a full day kayaking trip with Glenn from Novashores in Dover. Glenn, our guide, was super-great: safety first, confident, personable, knowledgable and very accomodating. I was the nervous one and the boys were eager to be daring. Glenn "navigated these waters" so that all of us had a really memorable time.... More
