The Trinity Pageant was fantastic, lots of great folklore and storytelling. Some of the actors/characters really embodied their parts, and the setting was of course, gorgeous. The only qualm I have about recommending this event is the attitude of the Director, who was cold and rather hostile to me and my family. After the Pageant, I approached her to ask... More

Trinity Pageant is an outdoor play that rotates around sites in the town. Excellent way to start the visit to Trinity. More

I did the "Pageant" with my partner and her friend this past weekend. It is well worth the 2.5 hours that it takes to see. Fee is $18 pp but it's well worth it. Be prepared to do a reasonable amount of walking, likely a total of 1.5 to 2 kilometers when all is said and done but it's a... More

Saw the production developed for the ten year anniversary of 9/11 and the outstanding role played by the people of Gander in caring for stranded passengers. There was touch of NFLD speech but mostly the stories of individuals and script writers made music out of these stories. Wonderful use of scrims. All roles played superbly. More

We had read about Rising Tide in guidebooks, which referred to the pageant that leads you through the history of Trinity. I'm sure it's great, but instead we saw two plays with local people and the many who come out from "town" (St. John's) for the privilege of watching this fabulous company. Beacon of Light is a play about the... More

I've been to the Rising Tide Theater on two different occasions and enjoyed Brand New Beat and This Marvelous Terrible Place. Both shows were based on true local content with local performers and had good story lines as well as musical elements. Rising Tide Theater has many offerings in which I can't speak to including the much talked about Pageant,... More

We had an evening free in Trinity and went to the Rising Tide Theatre without high expectations - just wanted some entertainment. We saw "Brand New Beat". While I fully understand that this is regional theatre, to say the sets were basic would be an understatement and no effort had been put into the costumes. Why do a period piece... More
