Great view. Makes you feel like you have arrived.

This was our first stop when arrived in Rocky Harbour after flying into Deer Lake. It kinda makes you feel like you are now in Newfoundland.

There are several trails down to the water, only a few hundred feet. We saw rabbits along the trails, and you get a nice view of the lighthouse from the water. Spectacular views of the far off mountains and the Bay. If it hadn't been cloudy the sunset would have been awesome!

The views from this area are lovely. I would suggest walking the trails by the lighthouse for close up views of the beach and water area. Lookout points for those who don't want to complete the walk down to the water. Unfortunately when we were there the lighthouse itself was undergoing work and we were unable to enter.

The lighthouse proper closed for reno, but the exhibit had been moved to an adjoining building and they did a bang-up job with the temporary exhibit. Views are gorgeous. As an added bonus, the rock formation upon which the lighthouse is built is amazing. To fully appreciate it you'll have to take the stairs down to the beach & make... More

This attraction is worth the time it takes to visit. The lighthouse is great, the grounds are scenic and there are numerous trail systems in the area that offer some really impressive scenic views. They offer guided tours of the grounds and history, and the staff seem very friendly and knowledgeable.

Unfortunately when we visited the actual lighthouse was closed and a temporary exhibit was available in the garage which we visited. Its very picture perfect here and often people see whales from the shoreline - nice visit to make

If you are in the area this is definitely a spot you need to check out! The lighthouse was beautiful and everyone was friendly. There was trails and you could go right down to the shore line as well as beautiful look outs. The only thing I found was not a lot of parking. We did find a spot but... More

A worthwhile sight!! Altghough the lighthouse itself was closed for renovations, we were able to take some lovely pictures of it and the surrounding landscape. There are several short trails around the grounds that give you excellent photo opportunities of the coastline and the lighthouse.

Beautiful beach found at the bottom of the trail. There are several trails around the lighthouse that were not too difficult and lovely scenery. I wish we had made the trek at sunset.
