At first thought this was an inactive lighthouse, but when the sun went down and the light came on, it was great to see. A nice lighthouse to visit. Well worth my time.

It was an average site. There were a couple of short trails around the lighthouse. This would be a good starter trail for beginners.

Try to do tis review at sun set. It is not one hike but a series of shorter walks all with different views of the water. If you go in the early evening on a clear night you will be rewarded with some spectacular sunset views. There are a few staircases that lead you down to the water where you... More

Short drive out of Rocky Harbour (10 minutes), pleasant spot with a little path circling the light house. Good stop on way up or down the coast road

Trails are nice through the firs. The house was under repair, so we could not go in, but the views more than make up for it. The staff-person on site was working very hard, but was very friendly and knowledgeable about the site.

The lighthouse and walking the short trails to the beach below were a pleasant experience. The highlight for me though, was spending a hour with the very knowledgeable on-site Parks Canada staff discussing the history of Newfoundland including the fisheries, the relocation program, and Newfoundland's entry into Canadian Confederation. Kudos to Parks Canada for hiring such well informed staff.

My husband and I visited the Lobster Cove lighthouse and took a nice walk on the hiking trails and took quite a few photos. The Parks Canada employee was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We were lucky enough to get there on a beautiful clear day so the views from the trails were awesome.

Such a well kept, clean lighthouse. The view was outstanding. A nice place to visit with trails to walk along.

It's a short drive from Rocky Harbour to the Lighthouse. Once there, we explored some short hiking trails down to the water. On the way out of the park we saw our first moose - apparently it appears regularly around 5:00 every evening where the highway and lighthouse road meet. Have your camera ready! .
