What a great small town museum. Professionally owned and operated by a young local couple, their passion for wildlife education is wonderful. I love traveling in rural areas and have seen lots of small town museums and heritage sites, this is one of the best. You discover the typical wildlife in Gros Morne National Park, can enjoy a 'wheres Waldo' exhibit... The wildlife in their natural habitat is great here. The owner does the taxidermy himself and his wife took all of the background pictures in Gros Morne. Great places to go and see all the local wildlife and learn about them. The gift shop is great as well, a little pricy but great products. More

Thank you very much for your review! We are very happy that the exhibit impressed you because we take a lot of pride in it :) The gift shop definitely has some unique, higher end products, but we will continue to offer some lower priced souvenirs as well. All the best! Jen More

This is an incredibly good display showing animals in their natural habitat and looking natural. The young owners have done all the work themselves from road kill or buying a polar bear skin and reconstructing etc.. This was one of the highlights of my recent trip to Newfoundland. Don't miss it. This is truly an amazing place to visit if you're in Rocky Harbour. The life-like scenarios that over 100 animals are set in is visually interesting, educational, and a testament to the passion the owners have for what they do. If you think Taxidermy isn't your thing, you just might be surprised when you come up close with a life-size... More

I enjoyed every step into this amazing Museum in July 2009.. It's so ALIVE with Wildlife and the workmanship is out of this world. So many hours and much work has gone into this. It would be a shame if you miss out on this adventure on your travels.. More

My wife and I travelled from Port Aux Basques to Rocky Harbour on our first day in Newfoundland. We visited Western Brook Pond and then settled in at Rocky Harbour for an authentic Jigg's Dinner at Earl's Restaurant. On our way back to our B&B we came across the Gros Morne Wildlife Museum. We were greeted by Jenn, the owner,... More
