A nice little museum. Didn't spend too much time as it wasn't that big. Friendly staff. Nice community.

We had time to kill between high and low tides at Hopewell rocks, so we decided to visit. There was a memo in the office door that said we had to go to another building to purchase the tickets. When we got there, there was several people working outside, painting and cleaning. We went in the building, and the two... More

Thank you very much for the feedback. Your visit happened to coincide with a very special day here. On June 12th we had a crew of 11 volunteers from the United Way Day of Caring here to help us spruce things up a bit. Their work is a very much appreciated contribution to the museum. As I am sure you... More

We happened upon the museum this morning while passing through to the rocks. What a fabulous place! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The museum offers an intriguing insight into the history of the region, specifically about RB Bennett. Fascinating exhibitions and beautifully restored buildings. Reading the preserved graffiti on the old gaol house walls was amazing! It wasn't particularly... More

We recently had an the opportunity to visit the Albert County Museum to present some artifacts to this wonderful museum for a dear friend. Afterward we toured the facilities and were very impressed with the display of artifacts used in the area over the last century and a half. the items were well preserved and displayed with sufficient detail to... This little-known museum was recommended to us by the owner of the B & B in Alma, New Brunswick. It was well worth the visit. Perhaps one of the best historical sets we've seen in our world-wide travels. Each of the original buildings contains fantastic materials; in the Records Office you can actually sit down and look through the by-law... More

We stopped by the Albert County Museum on our way back from Hopewell Rocks. The curator of the museum provided a very informative tour of their various buildings, most of which are not original to their sites. There's a lot of local history to that specific area, but the highlight is the jail and courthouse that figured in the murder... More

Rainy day, what do you do...go to a museum not expecting much. Well, surprise, surprise as Homer Pyle said, this is a great little museum developed by people who really care about preservation and accurate historical data. Start at the Exhibition Hall.and the attendant will provide you with a basic overview of the community. The more questions you ask the... More

As other reviewers have said, a gem of a local museum. We had thought of going to see the tide up at Hopewell rocks but having been to see the floor, we were seduced by the sign at the end of the rocks that advertised the museum. Staffed by locals, the museum is a mini Mystic seaport, ie all original... More
