We did a half day trip and had a great time. Me, my wife, my nine year old daughter and mother all went. We saw a black bear rubbing against a tree and laid down to take a nap, a harbor seal and her pup laying on rocks, and many other cool things. Our guides were knowledgeable, experienced, and nice,... Our four day trip was great and guide Josh was more than capable on and off the water. His cooking was top notch starting with salmon the first night and he was personable and entertaining. Along with this it was obvious he was experienced in taking "newbie" kayakers. And I guess we benefited from a recent refurbish of the base... More

We (myself, partner and baby) just got back from a road trip in Canada and the kayak tour was defenitily one of the highlights. I got lucky, because in the beginning of June beautiful Telegraph Cove isn't yet too crowded with tourists. So I actually got a private 2 hour tour with my guide Joshua. And it was a truly... More

My adult son and I did the half-day kayak. We came just before the orcas so we accepted that we would not be seeing any. We were also just before the school holidays so the whole area was wonderfully quiet and empty. It was a delightful trip made so by our guide Amanda (I hope I got her name right!).... More

My husband and I traveled from across the globe for this trip and we were really excited. We were ready to rough it and see the wildlife of beautiful BC. We landed in Telegraph Cove and had our first pleasant surprise... it is the only group that is actually locally based from what we understood. This made us appreciate their... More

Had a great 3 day trip with them. I know I was probably lucky with the weather, etc. but saw an amazing amount of wildlife. Our guide, Brie, was excellent (another review tags her as condescending - I did not find that). First time I have had someone cook for me in the backcountry - I could get used to... More

My husband and I went on a three day kayak tour with North Island Kayak Tours at the end of August 2013. We did the 3 day kayak trip and it was amazing! We had Josh as our guide and he was excellent. He had a lot of knowledge about whales as well as the area. We saw many humpback... More

This was a highlight of our trip to Canada. We booked prior to leaving the UK and every question was answered promptly. The weather was not great on our departure day and we did have the opportunity to get a refund if we preferred not to travel. Although some time since we had done any Kayaking we decided to go.... We had a wonderful trip with our guides Dave and Stephanie. We did a one night Kayak trip and camped on Kaikash Beach. It was truly breathtaking. Dave and Steph looked after all our needs and made sure everyone was safe. We saw humpback whales, sea lions, otters, dolphins, eagles, starfish etc. they were also full of information about the... We are ten good friends from a Danish sea kayak club (Rungsted Kajakklub), who crossed half way through the world to get a once-in-a-life-time kayak experience off Vancouver Island. And that’s what we got! Eight fantastic days together with our great guides, Brad and Joel. They took us out in the wilderness with the snow covered mountains as backcloth, where... More
