We took our family vacation to B.C. this summer. We visited Vancouver, Victoria and Whistler and it was beautiful, but the highlight of this trip was the Grizzly Tour. It was a drive from Victoria but along gorgeous scenery and we made several stops along the way to check out the sites. We stayed overnight at Telegraph Cove in one... more

When I started planning my trip to Washington State's Northern Cascades and to British Columbia's Vancouver Island, Trip Advisor members recommended Tide Rip Tours to see the Grizzly Bears of Knight's Inlet...which in reality the Bears are at Glendale Cove and the viewing stands are operated by the famous Knight's Inlet Lodge. I am sure that any who stay at... more

We have only recently returned from our amazing grizzly tour with Tide Rip. It started with a wonderful 2 hour boat journey up Knight Inlet with beautiful scenery, seeing some whales and seals along the way. When we arrived at the viewing stands, there was just 1 grizzly, scooping up salmon from the very plentiful supply with great ease. After... more

Spent a near perfect day touring with our pilot/guide Lindsay and people from Ireland, Germany, Belgium, other parts of Europe and Canada. Saw a humpback whale, lots of eagles, dolphins and porpoises and, of course, the grizzlies. Very eco-friendly, with every effort to avoid disturbing the bears as they foraged along the shores of Knight Inlet. Learned about the area... more

Our trip on June 3rd, 2009 was amazing. The weather was just perfect (that really helps) and we saw so much wildlife! After a disappointing trip with another company from Campbell River the previous year, we included Tide Rip & Telegraph Cove in our travelplans this year. We got what we came for: 7 Grizzly's (including 2 moms with cubs),... more

We decided that Knight Inlet Lodge was a little pricey, so opted for an mid September trip with Tide Rip Tours out of Telegraph Cove. First of all, Telegraph Cove is a wonderful little cove with a world class display of whale and marine mammal skeletons. The cabins are along an old boardwalk, at high tide you can hear the... more

We wanted to get off the beaten path on Vancouver Island with our 12 and 10 year old kids and this trip sounded like just the ticket. I was concerned about the hassle factor, being that it was quite a drive from the Ferry terminal (Nanaimo) to Telegraph Cove and an early day the next morning to take this trip.... more

We had a wonderful 3.5 week tour of the West Coast of America and Vancouver Island, saw many wonderful sights but this was the best of all the high points of our trip. We were picked up from where we were staying; Hidden Cove B&B (also highly recommended). The tour guide, Lynsay, was very knowledgeable and ensured everyone was looked... more

Tide Rip Grizzly tours from Telegraph Cove was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. If you want to see bears in their natural habitat then go with Tide Rip tours. I had Derek as a tour guide and he was fantastic. He shared his enthusiasm and detailed knowledge of the Grizzlies lifestyle and habitat, you didn't feel... more

We spent a fantastic day touring with Tide Rip on September 4, 2008. There were some potential issues explained to us at the beginning of the tour, which turned out to be unimportant. One, the usual tour boat was being maintenanced, and we had a back up boat without a bathroom. This preempted extra stops for the toilet, but was... more
