We came to Telegraph Cove to see the grizzlies and we were not disappointed! We saw a mother and 3 cubs, as well as some bigger bears and a black bear. Amazing! The boat was warm and comfortable and the flat bottomed skiff you transfer to also comfortable. It's a very long day but you're well fed for both breakfast... More

We have been going since 2006 with our family (and sometimes friends) because this is BC at its best. Seeing grizzlies in their natural habitat. Excellent guides who really know their stuff, not just about the bears but all the other encounters along the way. Telegraph Cove is one of the hidden gems that many people have never heard about.... Thank you coming out with us all these years. It's interesting for us too seeing the grizzly bears mature and have cubs. This spring Lenore mated with 5 different males! so next spring she should come out of hibernation with several new cubs. Please come again. Best regards, Howard Tide Rip Tours. More

This is a very expensive tour, therefore you expect great service.. You are 7 hours on a very loud small boat. During this time you will see - if you are very fortunate - some orcas. The rest of the trip you are on a raft; the guide tries to find grizzlies but in our case we did not see... More

We are sorry that you did not actually see a grizzly bear. We were disappointed too, there were several tours this year that we did not see grizzly bears and we are not sure which one you were on. Would you please email us so we can send a scanned copy of our "raincheck"? Best regards, Howard, Tide Rip Tours More

An unforgettable experience, is it right to spend money to go there. We made the trip end of august, twice and the first day we saw a grizzly bear fishing and the second day a family (Bella) with beautiful puppies! We also saw whales and other marine mammals. The journey to get to Glendale Cove is very long, but during... More

We did a trip with Tide Rip Tours in September this year. We were picked up at 7 am from the dock at our accommodation (Hidden Cove Lodge) and were then taken to Knights Inlet, a roughly 2 hour trip which didn't seem that long at all as there is much to see on the way. Coffee, fruit and muffins... More

My husband I have just returned from a wonderful trip to British Columbia, the highlight of which was the trip to Glendale Cove, Knight Inlet with Tide Rip on 24 August. We were fortunate enough to see a female grizzly with three cubs, plus black bears, salmon, bald eagles and deer. Our guide Derek was very knowledgeable, helpful and amusing.... More

Mulling over the decision to take the tour was senesless. I was in B.C. and I wanted to see Grizzly. The folks at Tide Rip were very friendly and helpful. Capt. Lindsey made the tour informative, interesting and exciting. If anyone is in the area and can't decide whether to take a tour or not, don't hesitate. Contact Tide Rip,... More

Two weeks ago my wife and I took the Trip Rip Grizzly tour to Glendale Cove (via Knight Inlet) and had a great time. The two hour trip to our destination departed from Telegraph Cove around 7 a.m. and included beautiful scenery as well muffins, fruit, and yogurt for the 12 passengers on board. Upon reaching the cove we transferred... More

The tour starts early with a 2 hour fast trip to Knight Inlet. The day we went there were 3 boats with at least 12 people on board. It doesn't feel crowded however as you transfer to a large flat bottomed boat at the inlet, and each group remains some distance from the others (on a separate boat), each with... More

Thank you for your even-handed review of our trips. Your fair assestment of our boats, viewing skiffs, the weather and bear sightings answers a lot of the questions that travellers ask us. Best regards, Howard More

On a beautiful day we left Telegraph Cove at 7 am for the Tide Rip grizzly tour. During the trip Derek Kyostia our graduated biologist guide made a short detour so we could see the humpbacks that he had already spotted. During the 2 hour trip in Knight inlet, with nice views and porpoises and seals, we saw also an... More
