They have butterfly, turtles, birds, but my favorite is the orchid gardens. In there you'll find among the orchids some water features with benches you can sit and read or just relax. You will want to take your time.

We decided to take our 3 year old daughter for a tour around the gardens. Although it was a bit rainy outside the inside was great. So many beautiful butterflies to see! She enjoyed the tortoises as well. Great little stop for the afternoon.

This was the first time that my wife and I had visited this attraction despite the fact that we've been regular visitors to the Parksville area for decades. I had mixed emotions about the visit. The plants in the gardens looked well cared for. And there seemed to be a lot of varied and colourful butterflies about. Very active too.... More

I have been to Butterfly world a couple of times and just love it. It was too hot for the turtles to be outside in the Orchard Garden which is nice to see. Watch where you step at all times as the butterflies are everywhere. Don't touch them either if they land on you just leave them alone. They will... More

Tons of butterflies to see, the grandkids loved it...my grandaughter was free as she was 2. Lots of little things to see and look for, small birds, reptiles and the turtles, especially when the big one was out for his walk. The kids also loved the little water falls in the orchid area.

Cute little excursion...nicely priced. Wear colourful clothing to increase the chances of becoming an attraction for landings. Clean and well thought out in the layout. Take a minute and sit in the rocking bench by the coy pond...you might doze off in the peaceful tranquility of the garden.

I brought my youngest to the Island with me for an appointment last month and decided to bring him to see Butterfly World as I have always had fond memories of it from my childhood. Well, we were NOT disappointed! The reality was every bit as great as my memory of it was! My 16 yr old son LOVED it... More

This was a lovely attraction, and it was well balanced by having a few different draws. The 'butterfly world' part was actually not as satisfying as I expected - the Butterfly Gardens in Victoria are a bit bigger and seem to have better signs and a bigger variety of butterflies. However, what made the Butterfly World and Gardens so wonderful... More

We've visited this place more than once with the kids as they've grown older. I think the first time was the most magical. And the rest, well, it's all the same every time. It's very low key, but worth one visit with kids who appreciate the beauty of it all.
