This was a lovely attraction, and it was well balanced by having a few different draws. The 'butterfly world' part was actually not as satisfying as I expected - the Butterfly Gardens in Victoria are a bit bigger and seem to have better signs and a bigger variety of butterflies. However, what made the Butterfly World and Gardens so wonderful... More

We've visited this place more than once with the kids as they've grown older. I think the first time was the most magical. And the rest, well, it's all the same every time. It's very low key, but worth one visit with kids who appreciate the beauty of it all.

This was a wonderful place to visit with my daughters and my mom. We enjoyed all the interesting creatures (not just butterflies!!), and the grounds were beautiful!! Thank you!!

We visited this spot on the last weekend the original owner was operating it. She had been training the new staff for two weeks and "thought they were ready" She tried to sell it locally but could only sell it to someone who lives in China. I hope someone local can keep an eye on the conditions the butterflies and... More

To advertise as an orchid garden is such a misnomer. A few potted plants and a bit of water doesn't make a garden. The butterflies were scarce and so much of their foliage was dead -a truly dreadful experience.

The staff were very helpful and interested in sharing their knowledge. The best time to visit is on a sunny day and when the humidity is high. The butterflies were quite active on our visit. The resident Button Quail had just become parents the day we arrived as their chicks hatched shortly before we arrived. The precocial young we're running... More

We have been here numerous times with family over the years. The Owner is clearly exhausted, tired and now sadly a rude grump. The new owners will need to do a lot to restore the dilapidated state of the place. And $13 per adult for a handful of butterflies and finches with weed infested gardens is asking way to much.... We had just finished up at the Goats on the Roof market and thought we'd stop here for a tour before lunch. My wife pulled up their website to try and find the address and prices. The site doesn't list the price but instead recommends calling for the cost. I'd wager they're banking on people not calling... we didn't. Anyway,... More

The bossy black haired, bob cut owner has sold the place. I heard her identify herself and explain that she sold the place while I was at the gift shop. She said the new owners are taking over in 'a couple of weeks'. I hope they do a better job of attracting hummingbirds. They are the reason we came and... More

Nice people. Nice place. Beautifully laid out for butterflies - so many flowers. And BEAUTIFUL butterflies. Bring your camera. You will enjoy trying to get the "perfect shot". You will have many subjects to try to capture. There are also many other little creatures living here also and it seems really natural. It's really warm inside - like you have... More
