I had been warned about this being overrated and so was a little wary but I found it a real experience. It was a bit surreal standing in the beautiful warm blue-white water when it was snowing and in below zero temperatures but it was none the less a real highlight of the trip. The Blue Lagoon was a place... more

We visited on the first day of our holiday and, if we'd gone home the next it would have been worth it just for that! The Lagoon is man made, and utilises cooled water from the nearby thermal power plant. Nevertheless, it looks perfectly natural. Near the entrance, there is a small souvenir shop, and a cafe with picture windows... more

This truly is a destination spa - meaning many people travel here just for the spa. The reviews here will tell you how amazing the place is, I don't want to waste your time by just repeating what they have said. Just a few points to bear in mind: There are alot of tourists so try to get here for... more

Located between Keflavik airport and Reykjavik, most pre-planned tours to Iceland propably includes a visit to the Blue Lagoon. And it sure is something you don't want to miss. The place is so different from other spas I've been to. First of all it is located in absolute nowhere, in a lava-belt. The water is loaded with minerals and therefore... more

If you can only go to one geothermal pool during your stay in Iceland, the Blue Lagoon will probably be it. Bus companies make it very easy to make a stop here before you head to the airport or upon arrival in the country. The Blue Lagoon runs a great facility that appears to be geared towards tourists and extremely... more

Love the Blue Lagoon! It was simply fabulous. Pictures on the internet are exactly what you see but you get so much more. The water is so warm...The Clinic hotel was different. It was right out of an IKEA catalog. Staff was wonderful! Left for a 5 am flight and the staff had breakfast ready before we left. One thing... more

I was a bit scared of going initially because of the whole naked shower in front of strangers before getting into the actually water. Anyways the experience wasn't as horrifying and I was the only person looking around to see if anyone was staring and did get an eyeful I could have done without! The water itself was absolutely wonderful,... more

After going to the Myvatn Nature Baths (which I preferred) my friend and I went to the Blue Lagoon, thinking it would be touristy and cheesey. It was, but it was also great fun. The people who run this place know what they are doing: it's clean, everything works like clockwork and it's easy (and pricey) to get a spa... more

I thought this would be a major tourist trap. It isn't. I guess if purchased things in their restaurant and shop it would add up, but we didn't. We received this as part of our Icelandair package and went at night. The best time to go. The geothermal springs were wonderful and the time flew by. Everything is clean and... more

The Blue Lagoon is as good as it looks in the pictures. The water is the most incredible colour and the temperature of a hot bath. You can hire towels and swimsuits if you need to. You get a wristband which gives access to the lagoon, lockers and which you can use to buy food and drinks. There's even a... more
