I've travelled through Minot lots of times & didn't know this park existed. I had heard about the Stave Church, but the other buildings, monuments, beautifully landscaped grounds and friendly people made this a highlight of the North Dakota portion of our trip! Follow the signs to the Tourist Info Center & it's right there.

This is a pretty little park. You can visit in an hour or less. The stave church is quite special as are the other wooden homes and storehouse.

We had a blast visiting here, and it was free. They even allow pets on a leash, and we especially enjoyed the audio in the church. Extremely nice ladies in the church and 1st cabin, and truly enjoyed the visit! Will definitely go back and take the family.

This is the most beautiful hand carved church, I have ever seen! It is an exact replica of one in Norway that was erected in 1250 A.D. It is in a Scandinavian Heritage Park that has lots of other things to enjoy!

Nice place to hangout, to chill out with friends and familly. In winter, the lake get frozen, and you can walk on it. Has a pretty church, inspired in scandinavian culture, all made by wood.

Lovely small park representing Scandinavian heritage. Nice representation of different aspects of Scandinavia, including religion, dress, cottage, and artifacts in a small house museum.

It is a nice place to go out and just take your time looking around. The personnel there was very friendly and acknowledgable about the history. They were very kid friendly.

The docent at the Stave church was knowledgeable about the history of this building and knew a lot about the whole park. Very interesting for this non-Scandinavian.

We stopped by the Heritage Park on a day when both the Stave Church and cottage were open for viewing. The details on the buildings are remarkable and authentic. The grounds of the park are immaculate and well kept. If I were staying in the area longer, it looks like a very inviting place to take a blanket and have... More

They have several cool structures to look at and walk around. Will only take an hour or so to get a good dose of history!
